Welcome to the Den
of the Dijorosyou are here | archive |fanclub | main roleplay | breedingWhat's a Dijoros? wrote:A Dijoros is large, docile omnivore said to be one of the marsupial family. They are friendly and curious creatures, found all around the world except in extreme cold and hot places. The most common place to find a Dijoros is in the barren plains of Africa, or in the Canadian wilderness.
Dijoros stand from 5ft-7ft an can weigh from 500 pounds, to 2000 pounds. They eat mainly leafy greens, insects and rodents in Africa. In Canada, they hunt in groups called "swarms", and eat elk, deer, greens and on occasion they will actually take down wolf packs and bears. Dijoros are also known to eat livestock if not tamed, and will go for mostly sheep and pigs. Dijoros are tameable, and easy to domesticate. When tamed, the Dijoros can pull carts, jump, race and also be used to leisurely ride. Smaller Dijoros are used like dogs, and are incredibly intelligent like a border collie. But being big, they need a lot of space and a lot to eat! Dijoros need to eat half of their body weight atleast twice a day to function correctly, but have been recorded to survive almost five weeks without food.
Unlike kangaroos, their offspring are called a "cubs" but sometimes, "joeies". Dijoros can get very attached to their family, mate or owner(s). Dijoros are easily upset by the cries of their offspring or other Dijoroses. Dijoros have 3-5 cubs, and keep their offspring until they are 2-3 years old. Dijoros can live from 12-40 years! Dijoros aren't genderless, but it is very hard to tell which is male and which is female. Usually females are larger then males, but males are usually more colorful. Speaking of colors, Dijoros can be any natural color. Commonly they are light tan, brown, dark tan, bay or dark bay. They can be seen having the colorings of a horse also, for instance chesnut and appaloosa. They may have any eye color, but it is common to see green, yellow and brown.

4: be kind and don't swear ect.

StripesDijoros always have four types of stripes on them.
Each have one, uncommonly have two and rarely have three or four. Here are the
types of stripings they can have:
Badger Stripe is the commonest on the Dijoros. It is a solid line from nose, to tail. (top left)
Bandit Waves is the second common striping. It is like Badger Stripe, with smaller, fainter stripes going down the back and tail. (bottom right)
Faded Spaced Tiger is a uncommon striping to see on a Dijoros. It is the striping of tiger pelt down the front legs, slowly fading as you go down. (bottom left)
Spotted Sea is the last, and rarest striping to see. It is much like the spots on a appaloosa, but with perfect circles of either dark color of the pelt or black spots. It fades down the back legs. (top right)
Size and Weight ComparisonAs said before, Dijoros can be 6-7 feet tall and weigh from 500-2000 pounds. This is compared to a average 15 or so male:
