- Hello there! I am hosting a character design contest, and there will be three places, with potential runner-ups! No matter what, you win a pet, so don't feel discouraged! [everyone's prizes will be given out the day that all of the winners are announced.]
Rules
- -Unlimited entries
-End date is November 30th, [can and will be extending upon request or need] and judging will start the next day, and winners will be announced sometime that week.
-Either use this lineart, or draw your own!
-I will keep the design whether you win or not.
-If you plan on making more than one entry, feel free to make a cover! [optional hehe]
-I'll probably add more rules as we go.
Guidelines/What I'm looking for
- These are only suggestions, but feel free to do whatever you want!
-Can be any species.
-No sparkle dogs. This is pretty self explanatory!
-I like both natural and unnatural colors.
-I don't like girly things, but girl characters who are girly is okay, just don't go overboard.
-It doesn't matter how good you draw. I only focus on the design. One of my pet peeves is, for example, a talented artist selling a character that is literally white with blue eyes, for 200 dollars, just because they are good at drawing. Like, no, get out. Don't worry, I'm not one of those people!
-Piercings are amazing, I love them on my characters, but I don't need every. single. character. i. own. to have piercings, so don't feel forced to do piercings, as well as anything else on this list, as I said, they're only suggestions!
-I can't draw anthro, so don't make me an anthro-only character, because what's the fun in having a character you can't draw?
-Although, I do like characters with clothes. (beanies, sweaters, etc.)
-Hipsters!! ♥
-Don't be simple. Don't be crazy. Be just right! I hate, hate, hate busy characters! Don't go all Kiamara-design on me, but don't go all white-character on me either. Doing this ensures you a place in the top three if you can be "just right!"
-I really like blues, teals, greens, and if you're going to do pink, have some white in the design! I really like that. I am not very okay with purple, but if you can make it work, I'll be amazed! I also LOVE LOVE natural colors hoollyy fri CK<33
-I really love when characters are actually based off of real breeds! (Such as a shiba inu character, or a munchkin cat character) Instead of just having a dog. It makes the character a lot better, in my eyes! c:
-Have fun! Look around to be inspired, and don't feel discouraged because as I said, I want a design, not a 200 dollar art piece, but if you can make that work too, then ha, go ahead! c:

Prizes
- Sorry for talking too much! I know this is what you all are looking for. There will be a first, second, and third place, possibly runner-ups! First place will get 4 pets, second will get 3 pets, third will get 2 pets, and if I choose to do runner-ups, each one will get one pet! And everyone that enters gets any pet out of this folder (yes, any one!) for free, so everybody wins!
