Clara Oswin Oswald, however, just call me Clara.
Name;;
Akaru Shiranui, meaning "bright unknown fire". Her one nickname is Kari.
Personality;;
Bitter - Distant - Cold - Lonely - Gentle
Akaru is a bitter woman that hides behind a fake smile. She believes that everyone is out to get her with their lies and for their own gain. She is paranoid and always on guard around others. Because of this, she often comes off as cold and stand-offish, as if she believes she is better than everyone around her. However, that is not the case; as a priestess and a follower of the goddess Amaterasu, as well as the ridicule she endured in her past, Akaru fully believes that she herself is worth far less than anyone else in the world. Her low self-esteem causes her to constantly distance herself from others, for fear that they will see her as a 'bakemono', a monster.
Despite all of the negativity Kari holds in her heart, she is the most at ease around children. She finds them pure and untainted from the Darkness she has come to know. She often spends time with them to calm her frayed nerves, teaching them how to paint calligraphy or to make their own rosary accessories. When she is with children, this is when she is most herself.

Hobbies;;
Traveling - Akaru travels the world, experiencing many cultures and other ways of life as she attempts to share her own beliefs with others. She could not imagine her life without her travels, and sharing the stories of everything she has seen with the children is something she greatly enjoys.
Painting - Her favorite activity; she uses her tail to paint in the Japanese calligraphy style, mostly in black ink. Her paintings usually depict some type of deity, mostly that of her goddess, Amaterasu.
History;;
Akaru grew up in a small village where she was despised and ridiculed; she was constantly called a bakemono, a monster, because of the crimson filigreed markings that spread out along her sides and face. She had no parents to tell her otherwise, as she had been taken in by a woman who treated her like a piece of trash. A woman who had started the rumors to begin with. Kari was constantly degraded to be 'put in her place', and she was not allowed to have her own opinion. She was not allowed to speak without being spoken to, and she had to do everything asked of her without question.
All of that changed when a strange woman visited the village. She wore a strange outfit of red and white; a kimono of sorts. Her mane was tied to the side with a red ribbon; she had all the makings of a priestess, and her name was Kaguya. She changed everything. Her thoughts on Akaru was that the young girl could very well be Amaterasu reborn, or simply an envoy of the Mother Goddess. Kaguya took Kari from that village as her apprentice.
Despite having been saved from the cruel villagers, Kari still thought that the villages had completely wronged her. The bitterness in her heart would last for the entirety of her life, no matter how much Kaguya tried to change her opinion.

Accessories;;
Rosary Necklace - Burgundy/deep red beads that end in a periwinkle blue orb. In the center of the orb burns the symbol for "Life". It was a gift from Kaguya, to signify that all life was precious. Every being on the planet should work together and prevail; they should show respect to themselves, to others, and to nature itself.
Bell - An item to signify the beauty in something so simple, in both sound and appearance. She carries it with her always, and uses it mostly for prayer or to allow children to play with it.
Feathers - Just like any Kiamara, she has her feathers. One is the same design as her tail, while the other two are based on the Darkness she sees in the hearts of others, with the red of an eclipsed sun decorating them.
Gold Bands - Something simple she uses to tie her hair up.
Ref without items;;
Edit Notes;;
Mane - Long and slightly curly, tied up with gold bands at the longer parts.
Spots - "Freckles" and "sun spots".
Tail - Okami style "paint brush".
Ears - Slightly longer with tufts.
Fur - Curly, flowing shoulder and hind paw "fluffs".
Eyes - Black "eye whites" with a slight gold glow.
Expression - Slight edit to the mouth, making her seem "expressionless".
