They were sent by the Astrial beings, or what you better know as the Zodiac. Each Astral is very unique in its own way, being individual in horn selection, color, and size. Their coats resemble those of your ordinary equine.
The horns offer protection and act as a third eye, providing the houser of the horn the ability to contact the other side. The jewel offers light, knowledge, and when jewels touch, a bond is established between the two Astrals. The bond insures they will never forget each other and recognize each other as an important being in their lives.
Astrals can frolic amongst the stars, dancing with the constellations. Down on earth they serve as protectors of the planet, making sure no damage is done where it is not wished. Humans tend to be a threat to these sentinels, though the eqines have learned to live in harmony with them.
Herds are formed as your general herd is formed. There is a lead stallion that has his right to any mare in his herd's brood. Despite the stallion's choosing of mares, along side him is the lead mare. She is protector of the mares and their foals. The lead mare also serves as the lead stallion's first inpregnation of the breeding season. They tend to have at least one foal per breeding season and carry on the herd's leading legacy. The other studs in the herd are subordinates and offer their lives protecting the herd. Though, if one stallion chooses to over throw the herd's leader, he may challenge him.

I think she is pretty, and I may find a stallion to your liking, but I hope that there is more to her life than endless breeding...

Haha. There is more to her life than that, I just want to get a few of her kind under my belt so I'm breeding her out. I'm sure I'll use her for something else soon, not sure what though. If you have suggestions, please, by all means. Now about that stallion, may I see him?
