Faust is a cheerful guy, as long as he isn't fending off spirits or convinced that a demon is wrecking havoc. In a way he's quite paranoid of the spiritual realm, and usually takes many precautions with him when he goes places. Though he is weary of the supernatural, he is quite fascinated by it and can run his mouth for hours about the different myths and truths behind them.
He's quite diligent in his theological studies and methodology in dealing with the paranormal. He practices many of the different ideals of religions, he spends many hours on meditation and chakra training. Thus why he wears a circlet with a copy of his eye over his third eye chakra, as he works on this chakra the most as to help him in his paranormal fights.
Faust cracks many jokes about his occupation, even though he could easily flip to being serious about things in an instant. He is naturally relaxed though, as he doesn't have a temper and takes most things in stride. He is very certain about his place in life and cares not to heighten his status.
Outside of his job, Faust is a tad bland; He enjoys his sleep, does all his chores as he needs, and has a routine. For people who do not know him, they'd think of him as a normal person that just believes in the new age mumbo jumbo. Every once in a while he'll freak people out because he'll see a spirit or specter and immediately tell the one who it's attached to, or try to take care of it. He has been kicked out of places for his outbursts. He can barely control himself when the paranormal makes itself known to him. Thus why he tries to keep himself seemingly normal, though he's very bad at this when speaking to people. He's very conspicuous when he tries to hide his intent or the fact that he's an exorcist/ knows about the paranormal.
Brief History:
It had always been a burden. The occasional cry of horror, or a giggle of amusement as he held a conversation with some invisible entity. His parents weren't sure how to handle their imaginative child. The routine Sunday church outing always seemed to keep the tyke quiet for the day. The calming music and absence of his imaginary friends coupled with the child's fascination with the words flowing from the preacher was a welcome break. Until one Sunday the little boy wouldn't enter the building. He cried and clung to the door frame obstinately; telling them that it was a bad day, a scary man went into the church. They had no choice but to leave. Once he was old enough they put him into a private school, hoping that it'd help him grow into a well rounded boy.
He studied many thing besides the boring general education classes. His friends showed him different new age theologies and sparked his curiosity to truly investigate the paranormal instead of being afraid of it. His group became the school's unofficial paranormal investigators. Once they made it to college a whole new chapter of their lives opened up as they took their studies into different religions and departments. They kept the group together and took different jobs with it here and there. But Faust had to move on, his nerves were worn and his closest friends seemed to be moving away from him. A black fog seemed to encircle the group, and it was best if they disbanded for the sake of everyone. After graduation, he did odd jobs and joined the ministry briefly. He found he could never stay in one place for too long.
