Name: Nianu (Great Horned Owl - Bubo virginianus)
Age: 3 (translates to 16 in human years, if you require that)
Gender: Female
Personality: Brusque, brash, and willing to speak her mind, Nianu is the sort that would put her foot down and stand up for what she believes in. One part revolutionary, one part leader, she has what it takes to become a masterful member of her own race... if only she weren't so opinionated! Perhaps, if she stops pushing her nose (er, beak...) into other people's business, and ceases forcing them to follow her own ideals, she will bloom into the great owl she is destined to become.
Straight out of the shell, Nianu has earned herself the position of bossy busy-body. Though she is young, and has many years ahead of her to learn patience and wisdom, these past three years have been all about her pushy attitude and learning exactly how far she can take it before people break. Educating her has been a positive chore, but when she's interested (and not asking a thousand questions) there isn't an owl that works as hard as her to learn everything there is to know. Her parents are alive, well, and supportive of her, but it's obvious that they aren't as stern as they could be, for she gets away with much that other owl children may not. Neighbors and relatives call her pampered and privileged for that, but the neighborhood owl-children still appreciate her because she'll stand up for them in the face of the more teenage-oriented owls.
History: Nianu's life has been nothing special. She hatched from a plain, ordinary egg, and has grown up with a pair of plain, ordinary parents. She doesn't much care for where she is, considers her 'history' to be too boring to contemplate, and would rather look towards the future! There's something out there for her, she just has to ask enough people to discover where it is! Someone surely has answers!
Other: You can't quite tell, because I failed at making a character ref sheet, but in addition to the common Great Horned Owl markings, Nianu has been striped like a tiger. Her ear tufts are a bright orange, as are the markings around her eyes. Otherwise, in addition to her dark brown barring, she has enlarged bars of orange that taper away like tiger stripes. These, coupled with her yellow-orange eyes, make her a tad intimidating.


I'm sorry this isn't actually a character reference sheet, and if you would like me to make another submission instead of this one so you can see her full-bodied, I will. XD I just had an idea in my head, and... this is what came out. =X I couldn't even make it cartoonish if I had wanted to. ^^; Either way, I hope you enjoy, and do let me know if you need more!
