Justin had been blowing in the wind by the mountains. He missed the days he could pick up the snow, and feel the cold dampness seep through his fingers. He missed the feeling of the warm tea his mother had always made him when he came back after playing all day. He just plain out missed feeling something-anything! He sighed-it was no use wishing or missing anything he hadn't felt anything since the day he died. He was only 14 years old when it had happened. He had been playing with a football he had just gotten for his birthday. He was playing by the mountain gorge, his mother and father had warned him many a time about never going that close to the gorge. But he was a young teen-since when had he follow any rules. The football had rolled close to the gorge. He stepped a to close and the edge crumbled beneath him. Tumbling, tumbling, tumbling. Then he remembered the sound like a bone snapping. His neck. They never found his body. So here his spirit stayed, endlessly flowing on the wind. He sighed again about to close his eyes when he saw her. She wore a thin sweatshirt and jeans, with a red beanie. She had glasses, but the eyes behind them are what captivated him. Blue-bright blue, just like the color he would be if she could see him. She was sitting on a log facing the mountain. this was a place he used to visit a lot as a kid. she must have been his age. He sighed again...why bother trying to get her attention she couldn't even see him. Suddenly her head snapped in his direction.
Jenna could have sworn she had see something out of the corner of her eye. But no she didn't.
Justin sat next to her-he knew it was only for a short while and it would never last, but still he was happy. Even if the moment didn't last as long as he wanted it to.
What you just read was a short story to the picture. Post if you like it, and maybe I'll do another!
