Quetzals are small, ancient Creatures of an Ancient Civilization. They have two sets of wings that they use to fly and they use their snakelike body as a rudder when in flight. The males have brighter highlights of color somewhere on their body (Usually on their wings) while the females are softer, duller colors. Females NEVER have bright colors on them. Each Quetzal carries 4 jewels which match their eye color. Legend has it that these jewels are what give the Quetzal its power. Being only 6 inches long total, these little creatures have been hidden for centuries. They are very intelligent and love to learn. Ones that have tattoos on their shoulder, which are the color of their eyes and orbs, are tame. Beware of the ones who have not acquired their Tattoo. These are the dangerous ones and they must be tamed.
