• what is a canis reptilius •
Canis Reptilius or commonly known as lizard dogs, is a hybrid of various types of lizards and dogs. Lizard dogs have a basic dog shape, short scruffy fur all around the body, large ears, and a overall thin, lean body structure. Lizard aspects such as lizard tails, hind legs (a mix of dog and lizard structure). They have patches of scales along the body, commonly on the bridge of the nose, cheeks, hind legs, and lower abdomen. They act very similar to your everyday dogs, with a few quirks.

-do not ask to become an artist, mod, etc
-lizard dogs CANNOT be your fursona
^they cannot be related to any of your characters
-do not resell or trade your lizard dog, give it back to us
-you can have up to 5 lizard dogs
-you cannot co-own a lizard dog
-do not edit your lizard dog's design (aside from items)
-you may not have a custom lizard dog unless permission

generic lizard tails the most common out of the tail variations - chameleon tails uncommon tail variation - gecko tail rarest of the tail variations due to the tail being very thick and heavy ((not good for moving around and getting away from potential predators)
coloration
Average color for a lizard dog varies widely, but mainly pertain to natural dog markings with the tail, scales, and flesh being colorful. This is not mandatory but commonly seen. Markings vary and include, but are not limited to, spots, stripes, spotches or any unnatural marking variation. Lizard dogs come in a variety of colors, none are more common then another, but it is rare for them to be dark colored on the scales and fur, or white on the scales.
