Name
Noble
Gender
Male
Personality
No, not named for the character quality, but rather, for the book-store; Barnes and Noble. Noble adores reading and all the good things that come with it, such as the warm, cozy blankets, hot cocoa, tea or coffee, and the long, sleepy evenings spent with a stolen human’s book lodged between your forepaws’ toes. Noble spends long hours of the day in the local Barnes and Noble where he is most welcome, for he is very friendly towards humans and dares not damage the books he ‘borrows’. The people who work and spend a lot of time at the store see him as a mascot, and will even smuggle little goodies for him from the coffee shop. Noble usually saves these little morsels for when he is curled up all snuggly in a corner with a book. His favorite treat is the ginger-bread pound-cake, and when given the choice, always goes for it. At the end of day, Noble usually heads back to his den, but sometimes the workers at Barnes and Noble allow him to sleep in the old janitor’s closet that they had set up complete with doggy bed, blankets and extra books, but Noble actually prefers his small hole in the nook of a tree. His den is lined with news-paper clippings and old advertisements so he can constantly read (It almost doesn’t matter what he’s reading as long as he is reading). And when the sky finally turns it’s deepest shade of purple, and the crickets have said their final good bye’s to the moon, Noble curls up into a furry heap on the news paper clippings in his den, and dreams about what he will read tomorrow.
Favorite item
Surprisingly enough, Noble’s favorite item is not entirely book-related. Rather, it is something to keep him comfortable while he is going about his daily activities. A long, knitted, teal scarf accompanies him on most of his adventures. This is his favorite item, for it is very useful. He wraps it around mugs to keep his paws from being scorched, he drapes it around his neck to keep warm, and sometimes he hangs it on his antlers just to make what he calls, ‘a fashion statement’.
