Although this piece isn't finished yet, I realize I have to redo most of the shading on the tree. The bark is lopsided near the middle, and the shadows are too dark near the bottom, making it hard to distinguish between the trunk and the curling root.
I do like the clouds though, they were quite a lot of fun to do. ;P
And, as soon as I get a chance, I'm planning to dapple snow up the side of the tree, as it's supposed to snow a few inches this Saturday where I am. I saw this beautiful tree on my way to school, where the sun had melted all the snow around the tree itself, but the sun never touched the tree at an angle to melt the snow up the side, giving it a beautiful effect. I'm hoping to apply this here.
This is my first try in Advanced, I'd love some advice. <3

Ahhh I love how you did I the sky ^^
If I may make a suggestion with the tree, you might like it better if you tone down the highlights. Wood seldom looks that shiny.
But a nice job with it overall.
