The Basics

Owner;;
Coloré
I am Coloré, but you can call me
anything you think fits.

Show Name;;
Retrouver L'espoir
Meaning "Regain Hope" in French.
Pronounced [ rue - true - ve - lea - sp - wa ]

Barn Name;;
Fidèle
Meaning "Faithful" in French.
Pronounced [ fi - del ]

Gender;;
Mare
A pretty girl.

Breed;;
American Paint Horse
A beautiful breed full of amazing markings.

Age;;
Three and a Half
I think a younger age suits her.

Coloration;;
Cremello Frame Overo

Personality;;
is immensely confident. She is very
determined and encourages others to
never give up. She is kind towards all
and cares for even the nastiest horses
because she believes everyone should
be treated equally. Clary is extremely
fair and and tries not to show off, she
loves foals but doesn't want any and
likes to play with her friends in the
field. It's hard for her to forgive
those who hurt her but she eventually
gets around to forgiving them. She
has the sweetest temper and is ridden
by younger beginners as her owner
knows she will be patient with them.

Dicipline;;
She doesn't usually get ridden, but she
sometimes goes on trail rides with cancer
patients. She goes to the hospital to see
the sick and give them hope in life. She
is a real inspiration to all.

The Extras

Quotes;;
Hope shines the brightest in the darkest moments

Don't lose hope; When the sun goes down, the star comes out.

Hope is my wine. It may not be useful now, but later
it will be worth more to you.

Poem;;
Hope is the Thing with Feathers

"Hope" is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest sea,
Yet never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

-Emily Dickinson

Mate;;
She prefers not to be around stallions.
They're to protective and shes too
independent.

Friends;;
She doesn't have many friends, she lives next to
Cherry Blossom, Miracle Masterpiece
and Ne Me Quitte Pas Maintenant from the local barn
that the horses from the cancer patient's
weekly trail ride are leased

Why Her?;;
The reason I want her is because of her colours.
I love how light her colours are, especially
with her markings.<3

History;;
She was born on a farm
with her owner who was very cruel to
her, and when she was only one year old,
she was obtained by Animal Rescue. She
was then sold to a lady and she lived with
her and her daughter. When she was three
years of age, the lady's daughter found
out she had cancer, and also struggling
with depression. She set her job to giving
her hope and making her happy, and two
years later she has recovered from
cancer and started learning to ride so she
could ride her in the trail rides with the
cancer patients so they could both give
hope and inspiration to help them
battle cancer. When the girl died on a
trail ride with Fidèle, the girls mother
kept her as it was too painful to get
rid of her.

Art;;
Image
The Extras

Story;;
Fidèle whinnies as
the familiar sent filled the air. She
couldn't wait to get out of the horse
box to meet the cancer patients once
again. She stomped her foot against
the metal and held her head up high.
Fidèle felt special with her coat
gleaming, all washed and brushed,
mane and tail braided with cancer
bandanas plaited into them. The
car stopped and she waited patiently
for someone to let her out. The girl
was wearing a banana also, even
though she didn't have cancer anymore.
She led her out and petted her face.
"Lets go in, shall we?" She asked and
Fidèle nodded her head in greement.

They walked around the side and into
a large gate. Inside was a neatly mowed
field. She turned and saw the patients
sitting under a tarp cover at tables
eating and drinking. She whinnied
and they eventually wandered over.
There were about six people, all lady's.
Men never seemed to find Fidèle
inspirational, but she didn't mind, her
first owner was a man and she never
seemed to recover from what he had
done to her. She stood as they all
petted her and said stuff like "Oh,
she's so cute." or "Wow, Fidèle's so
pretty when she's all dressed up!"

The girl mounted him and held on tight.
"Be careful," Said her mother sternly.
"your still learning how to ride her."
Fidèle felt her shift around, trying to
catch her balance and grip the reins
tighter. "I'm fine!" She said to her
mother. She pushed her forwards and
she started walking with the cancer
patients on the trail.

They stopped at the river and one
of the patients had passed out. Her
mother couldn't leave the patience,
so the girl volunteered to go back to
the hospital and her mother agreed,
so she broke off in a canter. She heard
her mothers yell behind her, but she
ignored her and tried to show her that
she could handle it. When they
reached the slope, she decided not to
slow down and get there quicker, but
Fidèle refused to go. She pushed her
on, and they slip down the slope.
She screamed as she flew off the horse
and on her side at the bottom. She
groaned as the horse nudged her elbow
and whinnied. Fidèle kept nudging
her but she didn't move. Fear filled
her as she saw the blood rushing out
of deep wounds. She laid down next
to the girl and slept through the chilly
night and woke the next day to her
name being called. She whinnied
and turned to the girl who was
unnaturally cold. The girls mother
rushed through the bushes along
with many other people.

Fidèle was grazing in the field as she
saw someone approach. She whinnied
and walked over, expecting to see the
girl. To her surprise, it was the girls
mother. She saw the tears rolling
down her cheeks and then she knew.

Theme Song;;
Katy Perry
Firework

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards, one blow from caving in?

Do you ever feel already buried deep?
Six feet under screams, but no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there's still a chance for you
'Cause there's a spark in you?

You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause baby, you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down

You don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh
You're gonna leave 'em falling down

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Personality~
Macy is an all around, happy, playful, and understanding mare. Her whole life is fun but no one must ever be left out. She is always getting into the middle of fights to stop them, and LOVES to tease the people who are trying to catch her and bring her out of the pasture by galloping away from them. Her pasture buddies are Moondust and Liberty. They are both at least 3hands smaller than her, but they have lots of fun together. Sadle, they will be separated soon and Macy will be brought to the broodmares stables. She has known Buck for quite some time. They where both h=bred at the same place and she was born when he was about two years old. He was actually in the pasture across from her and her mother.

History~
Chickadee's Simple Pleasures was born quite far away from our dear Cottonwood
Ranch. Paint The Sky was the farms name, and they where known for their excellent paint horse markings and beautiful body type. Most of them are sold to APHA members who show them, or to even more breeders. This girl got lucky, and was sold to the our CWHR. More than a thousand acres of green grass and hundreds of other horses. What could be better for her? When she arrived the front of her show name, Chickadee, was randomly dropped. So many curious and friendly faces greeted her! In an instants she made two very best friends that she hangs out with all of the time, Moondust and Liberty. Moondust loves making fun of the older horses, and Liberty has a nack for annoying the boys, but Macy is always telling them to respect the other horses, whether they are lame or not(Lots of help Macy!! Thanks!). She will stay up late and sometimes, if left outside during the night, she will take random gallops around the pasture at 2:00am.

Hmmm... what about her and the missing halters?? Do you like mystery??Anyway. Their was this weekend I was in my office paying bills, and the phone rang.I answered it, "Hello. This is From Cottonwood Ranch. How may I help you?". "Teresa??" the caller asked. "Yes! This is her!" I replied. "Oh! Hi! I went out this morning to catch my horse in the far north pasture, and I am sorry to say you have a thief. I was SURE I had tied it up to the fence near the gate. Anyways, I went out their to catch him, and it is GONE!" she said. I replied,"Well, it has happened before, but I will look into it for you ok? Otherwise I don't really know what to say... You can use one of the stables, is that ok for now?". She answered, "Yha, sorry Teresa that would work fine! Thanks.". "Ok. Your welcome." and I hung up. It seemed to little to get into at the moment, so I pushed it aside for later and stared working on bills again. About an hour later the phone rang. Again I answered, "Hello. This is Teresa From Cottonwood Ranch. How may I help you?". "Good morning Teresa! Could I borrow one of your halters? I went out to the far north pasture and my halter is gone. Their is actually only one here. Is seems all of the other pasture gates still have theirs tied on, but this gate is, well, none of them are their any more and I was SURE I tied it here. I mean, my horse is in the pasture." She had said it In all one breath so she was gasping for air. "Oh I am so sorry! Use one of mien for now and I will look into it later, ok?" I said back. After a little more talking I hung up, took a deep breath, and got back to work. I got about three more calls about that, form two more owners and the stable hand that went to go get the rest of the horses. Eventually I decided to go out and look. I didn't know what for, but I had no idea what to do otherwise. How should I know where all of the halters where going? The only halter left on the gate was Macy's. Our new mare. Why would that be?

About two days later the horses went out again, with new halters. Macy, Moondust, Liberty, and a few other horses. The next morning I received a call. I answered, "Hello. This is Teresa From Cottonwood Ranch. How may I help you?". "Hi Teresa. I am calling again about the halters, they are gone again. Me and Steve, one of your stable hands walked down together, and the only halter left is Macy's." it seemed she was holding back a giggle. I sighed, "Ok I am coming down right now." I answered.

I threw on my coat and tested my speed walk into the stable to grab some new halters. The north pasture was a long walk, and I personally did not want to go that far in this cold weather, so, I became lazy and jumped into the little tractor and went speeding down the dirt road between the pastures. Finally I could see the two figures standing at the pasture gate petting the horses. "HI!" I yelled. They returned my greeting with a wave. When I got their I gave the horses a pat and glared at the gate, where we hang our halters. None. The halter search began. "I will go look in the pasture." I told them as I bent down and stepped between the white gate. The horses seemed pleased as I jogged down the pasture. They trotted and cantered beside me, their heads high. I looked around. No halters in the grass. Now I had to walk another half, mile(as it seemed) to get to the other side of the pasture. Ugh. I looked over at the horses trotting beside me. A bunch of young mares. I Reached my hand out to Macy's mane, grabbed it, and vaulted onto her back. She was a little surprised but knew what I wanted. I took her into a full canter, my legs leading the way. It gave me an amazing sense of freedom, the cold wind in my face, and all of the other horses cantering along beside us.
The end of the pasture came sooner than I would have liked, but when we approached, I saw a colorful pile of.... I could not quite see.... I vaulted off of her back again and started jogging again. When I got to the corner, sure enough. All of the halters, muddy and some broken. WHO did this?? I shook my head and picked them up, slipping them over my coat, making it also muddy. "Who did this?" I said out loud to the horses. They all stared at me with their ears perked up. "Ugh, ok." I said and ran over to Diaz. She was not mine, but I jumped on her back and we cantered till we saw the stable hand. The other lady had gone back with her horse and one of the halters I brought. I held them high so he could see and he clapped. Vaulting off, I walked back to him. He laughed. "Where did you find them? They are filthy!" he said his face filled with glee. "They where all the way on the other side of the pasture. I have no clue how they got their!" I said as I placed them in the back of the trailer. I started hanging them up on the gate again. I had done two and was turning back to get the third, when I heard trotting hooves behind me, and then the clanging of halters. I whipped around. Their was Macy. She had already pulled one off and it was hanging from her mouth as she stared a me. She was caught. I took a step forward to grab it from her mouth, but she turned and galloped away with it dangling from her mouth. "MACY!" *cluck,cluck,cluck* "Here Girl!!" She always answered when called. "C'm on! Here!!!" She turned around, gave a buck, and galloped back to me, bucking in thin air. When she got to me I grabbed the halter from her mouth. She gave it up and hung her head low. "It's ok I forgive you girl." I said patting her forehead. "Na taking them any more though." She nickered as if to say yes. I double tied them to the fence next to the gate this time, and started to my tractor. As I looked back I saw her staring at me, her ears pricked. I pointed at her as if to signal I was watching her. She threw her head in the air and back down, her hair waving, and WIP
