Numiroka Adopts

These lovely creatures are actually based from quite a few animals out there in the world.

Image
1.
First, they have the front Horn as would a Rhino would, but yet curved towards their head to represent that they keep the peace; if they fight, if anything, they could fight with their armor. No armor, you ask? well, there actually is armor there. Their "Fluff", is what protects them. How, you ask?
Well, some where in their teenager stage, after being helpless for more than 4 years of their life, their fur grows more soft and silky, and less fluffy. It goes around their shoulders, and goes onto their fluffy belly. In their predators' eyes, a female would be seen as a Dangerous Rhino, angry and protecting her babies. A male would be seen as a giant rock about to crush them. Usually they are left alone.

Image
2.
Second, they are mostly wolf. The wolfly body helps them with accuracy of pouncing for food, running, and surprisingly, climbing.
Why do they climb, you ask?
We'll get to that later.
Their slender bodies of a wolf can help them with getting through small holes in fences, tree's, and nests. Their ability to run at 20 Miles an Hour helps run from predators who chase them tail-on-tail.

Image
3.
They are part bird, as I have said before.
They are very good climbers, their sharp claws hanging onto trees in the dark.
They are known for carving holes at the top of the tree's, running all the way down them, with little steps in them to get up and down.
Why?
Well, usually Numi's have really large families, and with their bird genetics, at the top, they make nests, and at the bottom, they have stashes of care-for and food. The father of the litter will protect the bottom of their "Nests", while the mother feeds the Kits constantly. If in large forests, Numi's can live in large packs, where you can usually see tons of glowing eyes in the Moonlight.

Image
4.
You're probably thinking some crazy scientist put all these genetics in.
Don't think about it. It hurts the brain.
But in all reality, their tails are spade-shaped for a reason.
They have two brains.
WHAT?!
Yeah. They do. They actually have a brain in their tail; a built-in best friend. These lovely beasts have tails that give them confidence in a very bad place; they will actually grow a mouth and comfort them by their favorite things; Cuddle and hugs.
The human DNA in this is that the tail has Vocal Cords, just like in the throat.
Every Numi must have the first letter of the Tail the same as the first letter of the Numi itself.
An example would be, our mascot, would be named "Dorothy". Her tail would have to be named "Dori".

Image
5.
As you can probably tell, they do not have pupils in their eyes! They only have the white of their eyes, and the color!
And this is for a very reason.
Every eye has a special "Music Note" to it. Every Numi will have an obsession, or, "Seeking".
For example. Our mascot is in love with Astrology and stars. Her eyes gave her that obsession, and no Numi will never have a "Seeking". At the age of 4 or 5, when they turn into a teenager, they will start growing their horns in. They will also find something they are in love with. Every Numi has a special story of how they found their "Seeking". And from Generation to Generation, they will always share them, humiliating or not. When they find their "Seeking's", they will make something to represent their "Seeking", and tie it to their horns, legs, and tail. This helps another Numi to recognize their "Seeking"

Image
6.
Their diet is like a Wolves', meat, and fruit.
But beware, in starvation, their "Gang", as a group of a Numi's is, will select one member to sacrifice and then they will eat them.
Gross. Cannibals.
But they do not do it until they are forced to. otherwise, they are very wise, smart, creative, talented, and calm creatures.
In other times, they can also be sometimes called a "Nio". It means that a Numi has gone onto the "Dark Side", and has started killing randomly. They will call out for this to their Gang and the mothers and fathers will go inside their Nests to protect the Litters.

Image
7.
Generally, Females will produce up to 3-4 Kits in a Litter.
This makes the family huge; especially since the reproducing cycle can be up to two months! A male and female can mate, and have 3-4 babies 2 months later. Usually, they like big families. They love company and different things.

Image
8.
They can date, love, and worship each other, but they can NEVER separate after being Mates!
You will NOT get through this like King Henry did and made his own church to divorce his wife;
Noooo.
They must stay mates forever. They can date, break up, but once mates, they MUST stay together. If they do, they could be permanently depressed.

⚜ Keep up with the pages 4-5 times a week, and see if you can help by answering questions Mod's can't do right now!
⚜ Post at least 1 time every 2 weeks, but if you want to do more, PM me and I'll see.
⚜ Guest artists will have a time of 2 weeks, and will be able to do more than one Numi.
⚜ Check the Archives, and see if our Archivist (Yet to be determined) has updated anything!
⚜ If a friend has joined your competition, PM me and we'll get a Mod to also judge with you on who wins.
⚜ If you absence is longer than a month, I will start to consider to get a new artist, UNLESS, it is family business, or, you told me in advance you would not be on.
⚜ If you have any complaints against anything, PM me or a Mod, and as a staff, we'll work it out.
⚜ If you have any suggestions on the species, speak up!
⚜ Be creative with Numi's, but NEVER give them the same hair style (The fluff between their shoulders and on their belly stays the same)

Image
1. You can only get 2 at a time; it is bound to pop up to 4.
2. You may not ask to be an Artist; if you want to be an Artist, or guest Artist, I am creating the Contest here, for this is fairly new. (Just made this 2 minutes ago o.e)
3. If you want to be a Mod, PM me, and tell me if you've had Modding experience, and know how to handle Rude Comments and things the correct way. I.E; Don't be rude back.
4. Please do not push our artists to make a new Numi. We all have life to do, too.
5. Do not claim Species as your own. I can contradict you and give you the very link of the sketch I did.
6. Artists, don't remove Koda's signature, please. Plus, she's awesome ;o;
7. If you no longer want your Numi, please PM me or a Moderator, we will put it up for adoption once more.
8. Please don't claim a Numi as yours when someone else won her/him.
9. For the first 5-10 Numi's, we're probably only going to have Adults. We do not yet have the Teenager/Kit lineart yet. But we will soon.

Teenager size:
A big tom cat size
Kits:
They can fit into your palm.

At first, they will be shy. They will not know where to go. They will talk in slow, little voices, until you meet eye contact with them and give them your word. They will begin to warm up to you, and, in time, be your best friend. They are very friendly towards other animals, and will get along with almost anything.

Image
There are some things I like about every owner of a creative species.
Creativeness itself!
I may most likely not post a word limit in creative stories, I love reading.
But this is not for all artists.
This is for the future. I will be looking out for creativeness, humiliation, humor, and other things that make enjoy a good story/form!
I am not saying other artists will be looking out for this, too.

Image
All Humi's have bad habits, just like most people have a bad habit of chewing on their fingernails.
They have a habit they cannot seem to get rid of.
It could depend on their Numi's personality, or just be plain randomness.

Image
The fear of Death, has nothing to do with dying. Ok, in a way, it does. I mean, they are not afraid to die for their young.
"Death", is what they call an Ancient Numi, who lives in the middle of 7 Gangs. They all respect him, but yet, fear him.
He is powerful, but yet, kind. He is an Elder, the last one living.
No one seemed to recognize it until he went to the "Last Meet".
The Last Meet was a Gathering of the 7 Gangs for peace, so they would never loose another fight amongst themselves again.

Numiroka FAQ

Postby yuketsu » Sat Nov 09, 2013 12:29 pm

Welcome to the Numiroka FAQs page! Please be sure to check here before
asking a question to reduce the spam on the thread. If you have a question
you would like to add here and think it would be helpful, please PM me and
I will put it up! I hope this answers most of the questions here. Well, thank
you and have a nice day!

Q. How do you adopt a Numiroka?
A.To adopt a Numiroka, you must fill out the form and comply with all
rules listed by the artist in the first post below the individual Numiroka.

Q. How many Numiroka's can I apply for?
A. Since the limit of Numiroka's you can get is currently two, we will allow
for you to try out for three at a time.

Q. Will there be runner ups?
A. It depends on how the wellfare of this species and the number of people who are
trying out. If the artists thinks that more than one person deserves it, they may
make a runner up but no guarantees at this point.

Q. Can we add accessories to our Numiroka?
A. Upon adopting a Numiroka, owners are permitted to add a few minor
accessories to their Numiroka, with the artists’ approval. Minor accessories
would include a small necklace, bracelet, or perhaps flower but please keep
it to a limit. Clothing and major edits (hair, eyes, etc.) are not permitted.
Every Numi's hair style will be different; they style it in different ways.
Please do not ask for a hair edit.

Q. Can a Teen Numiroka have BFs/GFs?
A.Yes, they can, but they cannot become mates until they are fully grown.

Q. Can you gift a Numiroka?
A. You may not gift away your Numiroka the artist has chosen the winner
of a Numiroka for their creativity, and their respectfulness of the Species.
I pick them because I think they are best for that Numiroka, not anybody
else.

Q. What happened if you don't want your Numiroka anymore?
A. Simply ask me or a moderator to inform an artist so we can put it up for
re-adoption.

Q. Can I get a custom Numiroka?
A. You have to wait to every 50 Numirokas to get a custom one. But, there
may be some on the holidays, considering the type of holiday and how strong it
is.

Q. Are there special Numirokas?
A. For every 100 Numirokas, there will be a very rare and special Numiroka in
place for adoption.

Q.How long can I be a Guest Artist for?
A. For about 2 weeks, and if I love your designs, I may ask you to be a full time
artist/ or I will ask you to stay longer.

Q. Can Staff members try out for Numi's, too?
A. Sure! My judgment will not on how well I know the person anyway; I love reading
stories. it's all about the creativity. If I have a friend joining, or a Staff Member,
I will get someone to judge with me so it wont be biased.
