Let me start off by saying that I am no means an expert on drawing canines, but here is my current style and it might help you out a bit.
I hid the sketch layer, but basically the head should simply be comprised of a circle, with the eyes somewhere near the top-middle, the ears at the very top and in line with the middle of the eyes, and the nose at the very bottom edge of the circle. The muzzle can be drawn corresponding to where you have put the nose. When you decide for eye placement, usually what I do is to draw the nose first, then draw the beginnings of each eye lining up with the respective sides of the nose.
The fur should come out in a 'diamond' shape on the head. Sorry, I drew the body way out of proportion and it might be good to kind of disregard that...^^;
Looking at photos of wolves will definitely help out- you've already got a great start! Good luck.
