Guest artists stick around for a month and new ones are chosen by all the permanent staff. Choices for guest artists will be based on the contest entries from this contest or by general art/design skills. In future you will be contacted in advance.
The first guest artist is a exception as they will be here until the end of September, with the next starting November first.
If there is high demand a guest artist may appear again next to the next monthly artist with their agreement
And at certain times there may be public votes for guest artists too

I am holding a contest to find both original equid artists and specific breeding artists. Each type artist has to do different things so check before you start!
Breeding Artist:
A breeding artist will be responsible for designing the foals of equid pairs. You will be given a pair of equids and the foal owner may ask for specific traits. It is your job to make the foal resemble the parents and have the features asked for where possible. So in order to prepare you for this role you need to:
Design a foal from any one of the three pairs below (or all of them). Once you have designed it make sure you say which pair you chose in the first post!
(all pairs chosen have permission from the owners to be used or are part of the re-adoption event. Foals will only be created with the owners permission)
Pair One:
The foal must have overo like the father, but the foal must have more white.

Must have quipping in the same style as the father with the mare's eye colour.

Original Artist:
Original artists make regular WME adopts. For this job you just need to be creative.
So your challenge is to design up to 4 unique equids. They all must have some form of quipping.
Quipping rules:
- Quipping cannot swirl in on itself or form distinct shapes.
- It can go vertically or horizontally.
- You can use a maximum of 3 colours of quipping on one equid
- You can infill quipping
You can use existing equid designs as inspiration. Just be creative.
Rules:
- No using the lineart for anything other then the contest
- You may draw males or females
- You may not edit the lineart
- Do not copy existing equid designs, that cheating!
- Have fun!!
Notes
You can either be a original artist or a breeding artist, not both, though you can apply for both.
When you become a artist you will be told any rules and be informed of the artist perks (yes there are some!)
Prizes:
1st to 3rd place: A place as a artist and a custom equid
4th and 5th: Either a few CS pets or a custom equid
**If I find a foal I like for the first pair for breeding artist it may get used as a actual foal and you will be given a custom equid**
