You actually have a really great concept of the anatomy! All you need to do is to make a few small adjustments.
First off, you may want to draw a circle and a trapezoidal shape as guidelines for the head. The forehead slopes down from the circle; however, as you can see in the drawing. The eye placement should be a bit closer to the edge- I drew a pretty bad eye, and the one you drew is quite good. The ears are just the way I would draw them, though you may want to add some fur at the backs of the ears as well. Other than that, everything is really wonderful.
