I thought we weren't allowed to use our own lines with the new competition rules:

You must provide at least one of the following which needs to be used in all entries:
A lineart (or part of a lineart for contestants to complete).
A proper background which features scenery and/or items (Colour-fills and gradients are not considered to be proper background).

those are site rules. every contest must follow. if the competition ahd it's own background with a scenery, I'd be happy, but I already get pecked on with my own lines( in a different comp. This is new...and it's not my rule. Honestly, Whitefireraven has great, fast lines, but the site will get on it, and it's best to tell WFR now, then after she spends her time on a entry, and finds out she can't do it.

It happened in one of my comps, and I had to delete my whole entry and do it new....

not too back really, it's still pretty new to me, and most people.... I only learned about it when someone blew up in my face, so I had to delete a whole entry...

It stinks....It's hard not to do my own lines...

I hate the new contest rules. Well, you're still awesome, and I'm sure it'll still be a good competition anyways....

Um.. I have never heard anywhere that custom lines are not allowed. I will be looking into this.

I've never heard of such a rule. You are allowed to make your own lines, unless the holder of the competition doesn't want new lines. I believe there was a confusion with the rules of background and line art. As long as there is a background, the holder my request custom lines, the artist, even if there is lines, my still choose to draw custom lines.


Edit:

I'm checking in with other mods. But this particular entry is fine because it uses the background.
