~Instructions~
Trail is a very fun(to me anyways) competition. you and your horse are judged on how well u handle the course and obstacles rather than how fast you get through it. In real life, u are given a "map" of the trail course which includes where u need go such as: "walk to cone A. side pass over the poles. trot to cone b. cross the bridge. lope through obstacle E" and so on. usually, theses events are held in large arenas or in a field or lightly wooded area and all the obstacles are fairly nearby each other so that the judge does not have to follow the horse and rider around, but can see the whole course. Which is what we will be doing, also. I have provided an extremely lazy background which u may use or do with what ever u please.
Your actual instructions are to draw your horse and rider at an obstacle, such as opening/closing a gait, retrieving an item from a mailbox, crossing a bridge, crossing a stream, stepping over/jumping a log or short fence, navigating up or down a ravine, etc. This is a WESTERN event(yes, I am sure that English has this to, but we are doing this western) so make sure that your rider and horse are dressed and tacked up appropriately
