Anyways, I revamped the old lineart and am planning to start making some designs asap.
The lineart shown is a Mountain Cubus. Other linearts will come in the future for the rest of the sub-species.
General information: The Cubus is an incredibly social animal, preferring the company of five or more of its own species to solitude. Although there is a fair amount of variation of personalities, especially between sub-species, Cubi typically have friendly and curious dispositions. Within any pack of three or more Cubi, there will be an established leader who, for the most part, should go unchallenged, due to their non-aggressive natures. A Cubus will hunt alone, regardless of its pack status, but will seek out a fellow to eat with. Due to their hypersensitive taste buds, Cubi are quite picky eaters, usually willing to eat only certain plants and small animals (exactly what they'll eat depends on the sub-species). Towards non-prey animals, Cubi are sometimes a bit too trusting, but they usually stick only to those of their own species simply because they believe themselves to be more intelligent than others.
Incubi: Every single Cubus has a special charm connected to its tail by a string-like substance, which is present even at birth. A pregnant Cubus' instinctively eats whatever small items it can find, with the hopes that one will bond to the developing kit. Usually a bond is formed quite easily, but if for some reason none of the items can form a connection with the kit, the mother will have a still-born. Although pretty to look at, these talismans serve a much different purpose: to keep the demons within the Cubi at bay. The charms are held very tightly by long string that leads up to the tail, and Cubi can't ever remove their own charms. Therefore, the only time an Incubus, the demon within a Cubus, is able to possess the body is if another creature intentionally breaks the bond between the string and the charm. Doing so releases the Incubi, a pitch-black, raging demon that can only be contained by once again reuniting the string to its talisman.
Sub-species: Mountain, Desert, Aquatic, Arctic, and Savannah
Species Limitations:
- For now, no more than two per person.
- No whining if you do not get a Cubus that you applied for.
- Do not design your own Cubus. The only way to get one is by adopting through this thread.
- Making a drawing of your fursona/character as a Cubus is allowed, as long as your fursona does not become one.
- Do not sell/give away to someone else. If you truly don't want your Cubus anymore, contact me.
- If you post a picture of a Cubus outside of CS, you must link back to this thread.
- Do not breed your Cubus with someone else's.
- If you and a friend want your Cubi to have kits, contact me, then I'll create and adopt off their offspring.
- I reserve the right to take away your Cubus if you have been breaking any rules.
