This guy is based off of not the usual and ordinary forked lighting, but instead ball and streak lighting.

Like a brewing storm, Ampere holds a calm and collected appearance most of the time, but those who know him well will be quick to inform you that it does not take much, simply the right conditions of weather, per se, to set him off. Often dark and brooding like thunderclouds, Ampere is defensive in his 'peaceful' state, and not willing to be open and friendly to just any gryphon. His defensiveness does not only apply to himself; he is quick to defend those who he feels are not as capable or are less timid; his arguments and emotional changes can strike like lightning. He can be easily angered, which usually results in a heated debate and perhaps the rare appearance of the element which he controls, though Ampere is extremely reluctant to actually utilize it against his own species, perhaps because of the memories electricity carries for him. Many other gryphons will flaunt their element and give each other playful jolts of electricity or minor burns in their jostling, but most of the time Ampere's element is held behind the clouds. When it is the case of defending his kind, though, Ampere will not hesitate to use full force in an attack.

Electricity

{ ａｔｔａｃｋｓ }
Virtually all of Ampere's attacks are dependent on the amount of energy that is in the air at the time. During storms, his attacks are heightened in power; on sunny days it takes more energy. He has the ability to summon electricity from the energy in his body during these times, but it will weaken him. A certain amount of electricity can be stored in his armour for about a month, though it isn't enough for a full war.

Nuclear explosion : : Electricity can be drawn from the air and gathered into a massive force of potential energy that can be unleashed into a kinetic explosion of sorts, electricity coursing out from the body.
Cloud cover : : If there are enough clouds in the air, Ampere is able to conceal electricity behind them, masking their appearance and providing an advantageous and potentially damaging attack; however, this is more used to aid in weakening the enemy than to actually have a great effect due to the energy lost through the travel of the electricity.
Spark : : Electricity can be transferred to Ampere's wings, legs, and tail, and when the enemy touches any part of his body, it is similar to the effect of a lionfish- a painful shock will be delivered. Certainly powerful, but this can be painful to Ampere if this attack is held for an extended period of time, for though he has more resistance to electricity, it does not mean that he is absolutely immune to it.

Ampere is able to virtually suck all the energy out of his surroundings and gather it to power his electrical attacks, an ability that certainly proves useful in any situation. He can ever gather energy from the attacks of others, stealing if you would put it that way, and gather that as well.

It was dangerous to be out in this storm. Ampere could only believe that the older rookies were completely insane, for there were no battles to be fought for this young gryphon yet, no desperation to survive. Yet unwittingly, without realizing their smooth words that found loopholes in his young mind, the rookies had manipulated him into the situation he was in now. Flying through a storm. His terror was almost tangible, feathers heavy with the rain that poured upon him. They had forced him off the cliff. It was fly or fall into the treacherous, churning waves and razor-sharp rocks beneath, and which choice was he able to take?
The rookies had accompanied him a few kilometers, that was it. They stopped when the rain began to pour down even more heavy, but Ampere had never been outside the safety of the main area of gryphon territory, and he had no idea how to find his way back, being too slow compared to the rookies to follow them back. Now he was somewhere above the roaring ocean, the clouds blocking out his sight. Taking a heaving breath and urging his wings to keep beating, Ampere felt his chest beginning to grow heavy with the effort of keeping himself flying. Ought he to turn back? No, that might result him in being even more lost.
The first strike of lighting hit just meters away from the young gryphon, and he gave a screech of alarm, his wings giving out for a moment. Desperately reeling around in the rain and trying to avoid the lightning that was now hitting every few seconds, Ampere was completely disoriented, confused as to what direction he was going in. He mustn't cry out. It would indicate weakness, to be like a tiny chick mewling for its mother. He would be cast out! Ampere swerved too close to the waves, the shocking cold of the water against his claw sending him rocketing back up into the sky, too fast, too fast. The lightning illuminated the sky in front of his eyes, too late, too late for him to stop flying now. He stopped the beating of his wings, but the momentum threw him upward, straight into the claws of the lightning's grasp.

He couldn't breathe. It was not this discomfort, but the overwhelming cold that woke him. Then, the pain, especially along his talons. Ampere opened his beak and bubbles came out. Drowning. The waterlogged gryphon surged out of the waves, gasping and spluttering for breath. Gryphons were not made to swim, and his wings felt so heavy. Ampere tried to drag himself out of the water, but
