The Perfect Snowman

Pat it down,
Pat it firm;
Let not a flake,
stray from place.

Carrot nose,
Button eyes;
And seven raisins,
But yet, it is not complete.

More snow? no,
We have all the snow we need;
Sticks or rocks? No,
But something isn’t right.

His body stacked,
three balls high;
In tightly packed snow,
I took this task with pride.

I must find clothes,
To keep him warm at night;
It gets awful cold out here,
I want him to be alright.

Pat it down,
Pat it firm;
Let not a flake,
stray from place.

I’ll do it, you’ll see.
I’ll make the perfect snowman.
