~Natural or unnatural colouring/markings/designs are both great!~
~Nature themed designs~
~Glowing auras and marking~
~Elemental based designs (Water, wind, time, etc.)~
~Gem, spirit, guardian, and dream based designs~
~Abstract/Tribal/Intricate designs~
~Mythology/Ancient cultures based designs (Celtic, Egyptian, Greek, etc.)
~Celestial based designs; Moon, star, etc.~
~Having a blind character is fine; as is one that can see fine~
~Male or Female characters; I like both ^^~
~There's a lot more I like too, so it's probably best to mainly focus on what I don't like xD You certainly don't have to use these things; they are just here to give you a ideas!~

~Checkered designs ~
