Fairly straight forward. I need some help creating the lines for my new feline species, the Lithions. I'm not too crash hot at feline anatomy, so I'm asking all you fabulous artists out there to give me a hand.
Rules
✖ These lines are ONLY to be used for the contest. These lines have been created by me, especially for this contest, and they are NOT to be used for you to create a fusona, character, or your own custom Lithion. Any abuse of this and I will have to get someone to step in. I will see if I can get this topic locked at the end of the contest.
✖ I want to see entries that effort has been put into. I don't want to see any 5 minute entries. I can tell if you have put effort in, and not just by the timer.
✖ I do NOT want to see anyone just 'colouring' the lines in without changing anything.
✖ At the end of the contest, I will decide what you can and cannot do with your entries. It will depend on what the winning entry looks like.
✖ You are allowed to do line edits (as many as you want!), as long as you follow the species. For any questions about the species, just post on this topic. Someone else was probably wondering the same thing!
✖ I must be on the list of people allowed to 'colour in' your drawing. I am not going to steal your artwork, I just need to check out the layers and make sure everything's OK.
✖ You need to have a colouring layer, a shading layer and changable colouring/shading layers for the ear and tail differences to be elidgeable.
✖ You can move around my signiature and watermark, but you are NOT allowed to remove it. If you want to re-do the siggy or watermark, just PM me and we'll sort something out.
✖ I don't want to see chibi or cartoony drawings. I want it to be realistic.
✖ WIP entries won't be judged.
✖ You don't have to be an expert on feline anatomy and drawing to enter!
✖ Feel free to add your siggy onto your entry - you did add things to it, after all.
✖ You are allowed to completely re-do the lineart, if you want, as long as it is correct to the species. If you choose to change it, though, I don't want too much of the body covered. I also want to be able to see as much of the face as possible.
Species Traits:
✖ Lithions are a large feline species.
✖ They have a lynx-like head, with a small, lion-like mane.
✖ Their paws are large, and they have thick legs.
✖ There are no visible gender differences.
They can have 4 different combinations of ears and tails:
✖ Curled-back ears and a long, full tail that flares out at the end
✖ Lynx ears and a long, thin tail which tapers to a point at the end
✖ Lynx ears and a long, full tail that flares out at the end
✖ Normal, cat-like ears and a bob tail.
To be elidge to win, you need to...:
✖ Have a 'Lock Alpha' colouring layer for each of the ear and tail combinations
✖ Have a shading layer and changable layers for each of the ear and tail combinations
✖ I must be added as a person who can colour your drawing in, so I can check all the layers.
To get more points...:
Things that you don't have to add, but will give you a better chance of winning if you do add them...
✖ Correct anatomy (the more accurate the better)
✖ Fixed lines (if you fix up my messy lines)
✖ Improve my siggy (give me a watermark to be proud of!)
✖ Add male / female changable layers (the male and female symbols)
✖ Add a cool-looking "Lithions" layer, or something, and "Adopt Me!" layers.
✖ Make a background (this is the least needed, but would be nice, so don't bust a gut trying to do this)
What I DON'T want to see...:
✖ Incorrect, slap-dash anatomy (I'm not a feline expert, but messy anatomy DOES show.)
✖ People posting and claiming the species as their own
✖ Cartoony or chibi drawings
✖ People posting a drawing without any changes, and claiming it as an 'entry'
✖ Poses which have a majority of body parts covered with things, like the tail.
The Prizes!
Yes, there are prizes. These prizes aren't ever going to change, unless I get something worth more, and in that case I will give the prize-getters a choice between the prizes.
1st Prize:
Permanent artist for the Lithion species*. Your entry also will be used as the Lithion species lines, and you will get full credit for it!

Your entry met all the criteria and beyond. I fell in love with your lines, and they will be used as the Official Lithion species lines. You may also be an artist in the species if you choose to be, and you may also have a custom Lithion.

Guest artist for the Lithion species and one Lithion (you choose the colours OR markings, and an artist will make the rest. Gender is random.)**

* Permanent means permanent. However, an artist position is a privelidge, not a right, so if you should not obey any rules I set for the artists, you will lose your artist position. A permanent artist also gets a Lithion custom.
** A Guest artist gets to make 3 Lithions in three different months, but does not get a custom. During the time the Guest artist is creating Lithions, they must follow all the rules I set for artists, or they will lose their Guest artist position.
Prizes and artist positions are optional, and if you don't want a specific prize, please state that in your entry.
