Question: Must it be 100% original, or can it imitate something like, say, bird feathers?

You can use designs from actual animals yes, just not something designed by a person

Are we allowed to submit original characters made prior to the contest, if we designed them for ourselves, eg fursonas, as these aren't being used as actual vulped?
