This is my breeding of my character Ruru with her new mate (and my new character) Pire!
NOT FOR ADOPTION
There will only be five babies and between me and the mate contest winners, there will only be one puppy left that I have yet to decide what to do with it. However please do not ask for it, as I am not likely going to adopt it out.
Some interesting facts about their names:
Ruru is actually a male Maori name meaning owl, which she got for her facial markings that remind me of an owl! It is pronounced [Roo-roo]
Since her mate was originally being called Frostbite by the designer, I wanted to keep his name to something meaning snow or frost. What I found was a girl name of Mapudungun origins called Pire meaning snow. Two awesome but weird things about this name are that it is a girl's name so now the names of the parents are both opposite to their actual genders (something I hadn't planned on but there weren't any guy names I liked that meant snow) and this name is pronounced like pyre, another English word for fire xD So awesome.
