Did you hear the tale of the Midnight Lovers?
Who stole out upon the frosty nights
To meet on old Treetop Hill
When the stars were glittering and bright
Did you hear the tale of the Romancers?
Who sat upon the lazy swings
Up on old Treetop Hill
And taught the world to sing
Did you hear the tale of the Valentine?
Who brought down upon his head
Far from old Treetop Hill
The wrath of another that struck him dead
Did you hear the tale of the Lover's Soul?
Who took the deadly gun
Out on old Treetop Hill
And took her life while hidden from the sun
Did you hear the tale of the Witnesses?
Who watched the gathering gale
Come up upon old Treetop Hill
Lightning striking the tree that was not frail
Did you hear the tale of the Lovers Lost?
Who now serenely lie
Under old Treetop Hill
Beneath the broken tree's dead eye
This was their tragic tale you have now heard
Of the Midnight Lovers under the stricken tree
Up on old Treetop Hill

Ok, sorry about the poem. I just had to write something I felt to explain the eerie scene that you have before you. If you can't tell, the things hanging from the tree are the broken swings that the lovers once sat upon. At first I planned on just making it all seren and pretty with the silloette of a tree (bent into a heart shape) on a hill at night, but today as I finished it I felt like adding something to make it a bit more sad (kind of depressed today), so the swings were added and then the poem came to my mind... I know this is a pretty simple piece, so I understand completely if this is moved to beginners. Anyway, I hope y'all like this.
