For me, blending is about using different shades of the same color and the smudge tool. It takes some practice and a bit of patients, but you tend to get better as you practice. At least I did.

I think it's quite pretty, I like it! Smudge and blur are my best friends in Photoshop!

Overall you did very well, however, if you look to the left, it seems somewhat flat, or sorta motionless, add some ripples, and maybe just a hint of green.
Other than that, I like this work a lot, keep at it.

Maybe ripple the edge of the water along the horizon, because it looks just a little bit too flat to be real water with movement.

Thanks. Was planning at some point to add a wave. Just kinda playing around with them right now to see what might look best. As for ripples, I didn't add them because it's an ocean view and so you would not be able to see ripples. With a puddle or pond maybe. Maybe that'll be my next one?
