I'm writing a story, and I feel like i'm being to nice to my characters

What type of story is it? I could go from there on how to perfectly ruin your characters happiness.
And I should be going to bed also. It's 10:33 and I have to wake up at 3am to drive to Disneyland.... the struggles.
But I will stay up, to write the remake just for you Dove! <3

I only made 1 chapter book, and I went with by events.
But my other short stories, I just keep writing and writing. Never having chapters in them.
Edit: I'm off to write, no one bother me. Even though I'll most likely go back and forth. <3

Also My chapters are usually short because I like to fit in little cliffhangers in between sometimes.

also my story isn't that dark XD I may have a few well, deaths by not ransom, like sickness or a accident. Or personal preference of the character wanting to leave. You know what I mean. I'm not kidnapping my characters for chapters so I can hold them for ransom at the moment. Maybe in another story LOL
