Dome hybrid
Username: WizMariefa
Name: Cesta Chamberlin
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Natural or Experimental: Natural
DNA mix: 60% Human, 30% Cheetah, 10% Lionfish
Appearance: Cesta is 6'1", obviously very tall for a girl. Like a cheetah, her frame is athletic and incredibly slim, with legs and arms disproportionately longer than her torso. Her body is incredibly muscular, which is not surprising-- she spends much of her spare time doing something physical. She has darker skin and dark, cat-like eyes that stem from her Cheetah DNA. The Lionfish DNA makes these eyes slightly cloudy, which is why her vision is less than perfect. However this does give her better vision underwater, where she loves spending time exploring. Her human background is a combination of African American and Latin descent, giving her naturally darker skin and thick, curly hair. However, reminiscent of the cheetah, her hair is a sandy blonde and her body covered in large, dark freckles. She has large, fish-like lips and small, inefficient gills along the sides of her neck. With these gills she can breathe underwater, albeit not very well. It is, in a way, strangely pretty, but a bit too far from human to be generically attractive. Her fingers are long, thin, bony, and barely webbed, almost like the fins on the lionfish. This gives her an advantage underwater, where she can swim much better than the average human.
Personality: Cesta is a weird mixture of introvert and extrovert. She very much enjoys time alone, but gets lonely easily. She craves human interaction and intimacy, and provides a very caring, understanding shoulder to lean on. She keeps secrets remarkably well for a person who loves to talk as much as she does, and can be a very trustworthy friend. Cesta (usually) enjoys spending time with people from all walks of life and is passionate about learning new things every day. Though she is usually kind and fun to be around, Cesta can be cruel and vindictive when she's in a bad mood. Arrogant and overly self-confident, she can act like she's better than other people and be rather aloof. She's very self assured, which can sometimes seem like she's bossy to others, but in reality she actually does know what she's doing. Like all people, she has her flaws and imperfections, but is deep down a good person at the end of the day. She is a very petty person and she knows it, but embraces this flaw fully. She's a very caring person most of the time, but if you get on her bad side, she will make sure you know why. Cesta is a very straight-forward and rather blunt person, which can be refreshing most of the time but rather offensive as well. She doesn't sugar-coat her words and doesn't believe that lying-- even if a lie would be gentler than the truth-- is something that should ever be done, period. This has earned her both friends and enemies alike over the years, as some find it a good quality, while others are deeply offended at her words.
History: Cesta comes from a very rich, old money family. Born on June 22nd and an only child, she quickly became the pride and joy of her mother and father. Her life was full of piano lessons, ballet, equestrian, etc. -- until her parents began to realize how different she looked from other kids. Once her gills became prominent, her family pulled her from their prestigious school and sent her to a boarding school for the (rich and) disabled. She wore necklaces and her hair down or a turtleneck every day, no matter the weather, to try and hide her growing deformity. Eventually, her family came up with a story to explain how she had gotten the strange scars on her neck, and she was able to return to "normal" life. She graduated from her boarding school and attended MIT for a year and a half, studying Computer Science, until she was approached about a "clinical trial" that she was chosen to participate in.
How long have they been at the dome: One year.
Preferred number: 4
Other: If you find that you like/ accept this application, I will most definitely create a male character as well!
