Patric looked out of the porthole at the growing storm clouds, and said, "There's a huge storm coming. Alexa's going to have to let us out- besides us, she's the only other person on board."

"What about Xaria?" Ella asked. She took a bite out of the chicken.

Patric shrugged. "I figured she would be with Ingo, and if Ingo isn't on the ship, then I don't know where Xaria is. Or that other girl, Tess or whatever. I don't know what happened to her, either."

"I guess she'll have to let us out." Ella said. She laid on her back, staring at the ceiling. "Penny for your thoughts." She said, pulling a coin out of her pocket.

Patric glanced at the coin, then said, "You don't have to pay. I was just thinking, all hell is gonna break loose when Liza finds out what Alexa has been doing."

"True dat." Ella said. She flipped the coin high in the air, hoping for him to catch it.

Patric grinned as he snatched her coin out of thin air, twirling it on the tips of his fingers before performing a sleight of hand, causing it to "vanish" into thin air. In reality, he had slid it down his sleeve and into a pocket sewn on the inside of his shirt.

Ella laughed. "You think I dont know that trick?" She reached into his sleeve and pulled the coin out. She put it in the palm of his hand and closed it. She looked at the porthole. She got a sudden brilliant idea. She could just imagine a light bulb going off over her head.

Patric glanced at Ella's face, then at the porthole, then back at the girl again. A sly grin slid onto his lips. "What are you thinking?" he asked quietly, then snatched the coin out of her hand and flipped it into the air. "A penny for your thoughts."

"Are you good at climbing, or at least throwing long lines of sheet?" Ella asked. She could climb pretty well.
