She had had demons scared of her before but never to an extent that they had proclaimed themselves to be at her service. Maybe the demon could be of use to her. She did know a lot about hell. "Right, well come on now. I'm heading back to my motel." She concludes, turning and looking over her shoulder to make sure Xudiul is following her.

"The world is ending. And not in the fun way I'd enjoy." Nex gnaws on the inside of her mouth, debating on what to do before teleporting herself to a motel. "This is not what I had in mind." She frowns to herself, looking around. "But I guess it'll work. C'mon, girl. You can't deny you aren't enjoying yourself at least a bit." She mutters to her vessel, walking up to the nearest door and knocking on it, fully intending on playing innocent child before killing her next victim.

After driving for a while she pulls into a new town, slowing down just enough before she passes a cop. It's a close call and she internally lectures herself for not paying more attention. After driving for a bit she stops outside a motel, sighing and going to get a room before she goes back to the car and climbs on the roof, laying back and staring at the sky, lost in thought.

Liliana's head snapped up from her research at the sound of a knock on her motel room door. She quickly slammed the laptop shut and painstakingly heaved herself out of bed. She pulled her shirt back on, letting the bag of ice fall to the floor as she re-affixed her red-brown leather jacket to her person. Plodding over to the door, she slipped one of her throwing knives into her hand just in case. She peered warily through the eye-hole* to see who - or what - awaited her. To her great surprise, it was a little girl. Slipping the throwing knife back into its sheath, she opened the door as far as it would allow while still remaining locked. "Sorry kid, you've got the wrong room," she said flatly.

Right in the middle of sealing a contract with a drunken human, a shudder went through Val's demonic interior. Something's not right. She wondered if it was just the excitement of having closed a deal, but quickly wrote this off as her sense of unease grew. This has Amara written all over it, she thought nervously as she pulled away from her latest victim and flashed him a pearly grin. Under the surface, she was... well, unsettled. She'd been one of the lucky few to witness Crowley's little experiment-gone-wrong and escape fully intact. In fact, her current endeavors had something to do with that - she was attempting to promise more souls to Hell to replace those that had been devoured by Amara. Not that it matters if the world's gonna go kaplooie.

She puts on a sad and pathetic look. "But..I lost my mom... Can you help me find her? Please?" She asks, tears filling her eyes. Absently she's noting the girl's demeanor, not quite recognizing that she's a hunter but knowing that there's definitely something off about it. At least to her.

Liliana ran a hand through her hair and shifted her weight uncomfortably. Her heart softened as the little girl's eyes filled with tears, though her face remained expressionless. "Fine," she conceded, at loathe to leave the child lost in the motel. Unlocking her door fully, she stepped out into the hallway and bent down to the little girl's height so not to intimidate her with her own - Liliana was nearly six feet tall; quite tall for a woman. If her height usually intimidated other adults, she couldn't imagine that it wouldn't cow a child. "Where did you last see your mother?"

Liliana felt a jolt of panic as the little girl started to cry. Oh crap. What do I do in this situation? she thought nervously; she'd never been great with kids. "Um... there there." she awkwardly patted the child's back in an attempt to provide comfort. "We'll find your mom, no need to worry." A subtle odor of sulfur touched Liliana's senses, causing her to instantly grow suspicious of the child. She's just a kid, the smell is most likely from those demons I exorcised earlier today, she reasoned, brushing it off though still remaining alert.

Liliana simply nodded in reply; partially due to the fact that the act of reaching to comfort the girl had sent stabs of pain through her ribs, and partially because she just didn't know how else to respond. She straightened up carefully and cleared her throat in an awkward manner. She truly wanted to help find the child's mother, but she didn't know where to start searching. She supposed the little girl had gotten lost at the motel or somewhere in the general area, so she quickly scanned their current location before turning back to the child. "Let's go check the parking lot for your mother," Liliana suggested, attempting to keep her voice gentle.

Sick of the charade she sighs in exasperation and steps back, a smirk appearing on her face. "You know, for a hunter, you are quite daft." Her eyes flick to white for a moment before returning to their original color. She flicks her wrist so that the motel room door closes behind her. "I mean, I have yet to see a hunter since I returned to the surface but I'm a little disappointed. Back in the good days they were all stabby stab smite thee demon, I condemn thee, blah blah blah." A dark laugh escapes her as she takes a couple steps back.
