thanks for making the tutorial, nick. i'm planning to make an adoptables site soon, and now i can have it up sooner, now that there is a reference that i can look at so i don't mess anything up.

You can't. The system doesn't remember anything about what pets were adopted. To do this it'd have to save details about the adopted pets into a database, which would be a far more complicated system. If you're looking for something ready-made, just grab Rusnak's adoptable script:

While this all is happening, I have made an HTML site on Freewebs with a member list and 14 members. Now, off to download microsoft word so that I can make XML files!

lol I only know how to make XML files on word XD lol

When did Freewebs start supporting SQL and PHP? I don't know, but this is great!

You'd be better off using Notepad. Word is designed for building formatted documents, which an XML document is not, it's entirely plain text.

An XML file is a plain text file. Just save your file as a .txt file in notepad and then rename it to .xml afterwards. If you can't see the file extensions, you might need to turn them on. When you're viewing a folder, click Tools->Folder Options (if you're using Vista you need to press the "Alt" key first for the menu to appear). On the "View" tab, untick the "Hide extensions for known filetypes" box, and click Ok.

I'm not sure if this has already been asked but I'm having problems with the images, it says they can't be shown because of an error.

Not sure if the site is under review since I'm using t35.com

I didn't change the coding except for the images of cause and I kept it to png.

http://thedenadoptions.t35.com/mainpage.php
That's the site and I've only done the dogso far even if it does look like a fat pink rabbit...

Should I wait or is it the coding or what I'm lost xD

You're entering full web addresses as the image filenames (beginning http://). You can't do that, you need to store the images on your server and use the filenames as they are called on your webserver, like the example one does.. :). So turn URLs like this:

http://thedenadoptions.t35.com/test.png

Into:

test.png
