oakstar is a very personable cat, always up for a chat or to hunt. He is good at keeping a level head under pressure, and loves to be around other cats. He's afraid of not being accepted for who he is, despite being leader. This is why he tries to surround himself with other cats. He also gets lonely very easily.

his mother died giving birth, which resulted in his father blaming him, and eventually abandoning him and leaving the clan. This departure created oakstar's fear of abandonment. other than that, however, he had a normal life, making friends quickly and using then to fill the hole left by his father, and his skills grew, until they were acknowleged when their aging leader made him deputy, fully knowing that he would probably become leader when he lost his last life. Finally, the old leader passed, making oakstar leader.
