So is my best bet to make a villager for each career? I just have one now and am trying out animal husbandry. The game looks wonderful! =)

I hadn't even realised there were different rarities, this is the first one I've tried domesticating. How do you know what rarity they are, is it when they're in your stables/inventory?

There might be a simpler way to tell the rarities but you can see the images here for reference. From common to super rare, left to right.

i use the price guide doc. it includes links to the museum pages, stalls, as well as the rarity & price of every item as a spreadhseet (and details about where each is found). there are also different tab pages for recipes & pets specifically.

It's best and easiest to start out as an explorer. You can use the 500 coins you start out with to buy a new villager slot and get a new villager as well. An explorer can find resources which you can either sell or use for the careers of your other villagers
