Also, I wanted to know if I could later on add items to them? Like lights, candles or garland, ornaments, other accessories, etc.

I'm on a mobile, so I can't check under the cover, but I can see enough to say that everything looks good! You can go head and uncover it all the way if you want.

You're allowed to add any sort of items that you want, as long as they're nothing like magical or something. Everything you listed would be totally okay!
