i'd like some help if anyone were interested in seeing them around. i cant keep up with a species by myself.

Viewed as the 'rats' of their home planet, these partial organic-partial technology aliens were left to die when the dominant species of the planet moved elsewhere and attempted to quarantine and destroy these creatures due to their incessant knowledge-gathering habits. However, a group of humans landed on this planet before it was able to be decimated, and brought with them- a few little passengers for study. Since reaching earth, they have multiplied fluently, with an ability to become attached to and mate with any creature they come across it gave them an edge in repopulating their species.They have become an invasive species, causing problems to the environment, so humans instead turned to scientific measures to keep their population in check, distracting them from wild and feral ways in efforts to domesticate them instead.
They are genderless,though may develop male/female/other preferences in pronoun and behavior. Their eyes display symbols that reflect their mood, its how they communicate to each other. These symbols may be ones from their alien world, or ones they have picked up from humans. They have complete control over this. The glowing ring on their backsides is similar to a cars blinker. Another form of communication. They can speak human languages, and are around as intelligent as humans, but it is highly varied. Most prefer their natural communications to humans.
They develop appearances based on a mixture of things around them.
When young ,their skin is similar to a blue ringed octopus (though not quite the same, they are -after all, alien), and their skin changes color based on things they see around them in order to create the most effective camoflauge.
This is most often based on a mixture of their parents (whom they see frequently and due to the actual genes determining their placement of pigment in the skin) and the location of their birth.However, this adaptation wears off when they reach their adolescent years.
They live around 30 years, and grow average to the size of a medium dog.
Edits;
They may have almost any sort of edit.
The only restricted/that only I may make are;;
-Edits that involve entirely redrawing the lineart/ it doesnt even look like the species
-Eye edits that ARE NOT just changing the symbol, symbol can be freely changed but you may not add pupils or change the eye shape
-removing the 'helmet'
-removing the 'blinker'
-multiple heads
-wings capable of flight (Small wings that are NOT able to allow flight are fine)

-dont change the design or add edits without permission. i dont mind you making slight changes but needs approval
-you do NOT need approval to add accessories ,as long as it can be removed its fine.
