Why are people selling everything below the sell back value?

From what I read on the forums before it was shut down, it's to help those who need raw materials for crafts, constructions, etc. It's really throwing the economy out of whack, though

hey i feel like this is a really stupid question but I'm gonna ask it anyways
i want to put items in my stall to sell but i don't really know how much is an acceptable amount to sell them for (common items)?

also i'm probably going to spend my morning tomorrow adding everyone from CS so be prepared because here i come >:)

Common items I usually put up for 10. Then uncommons are usually around 20. Rares are around 50 and super rares are 100+. That's how I've been doing it anyways.

You can also try selling them around or above the sellback price (which you can check by clicking on the item in your inventory), but a bunch of folks are selling items below the sellback price so I'd suggest waiting until that's settled a bit.

According to the Oceandomer I sold my house to, it costs one more house item to get a sixth villager.

i actually do have a question though ! both of my villagers have gotten sick with blood obsession, and i dont really have enough furcash to get any cures on the market right now, will the blood obsession go away with time or should i find a way to trade my furdollars to get some furcash ? ;v;

If you go to your town and click on the doctors office thing, you can get one free cure per day.
