at my show there were people selling tour t-shirts outside the venue for 10 usd, and then at the merch table they were selling shirts and tank tops for like 15-20 usd each. the sweatshirts and stuff were like 70 usd, posters were like ten, bracelets and stuff were like 5-10, beanies were 15, cds were like 20 and records were slightly more.
@truce hello and welcome c:
i don't recommend purchasing merch from people outside of the venue. it's usually rip-offs that are really poor quality. i got a tshirt outside the venue when i saw paul mccartney and the majority of the ink washed off the first time i washed it. some merch is quite pricey, but at the same time, you get what you pay for.
i literally never go to a show w out buying merch, tho. i always buy tour tees to remember, esp since i don't record my shows. all about livin in the moment

thanks to everyone who answered my merch question! super helpful. I have another question, though. that being, if my venue doesn't allow back packs, do you think string type bags are ok? like those draw string back pack dealios. I'm kind of nervous to just keep my wallet in my pocket in case I drop it, so having some sort of bag would be ideal.
also, welcome to truce, sherlocked whovian, and fall out boy.!!

my favorite album would probably be regional at best if i could listen to it more often.
my favorite album is self titled, it has some of my favorite songs. unpopular opinion- i think vessel is at the low end of their discography. i just enjoy the other albums more, even blurryface. don't get me wrong, i still love that album! its just my least favorite.

I literally just got out of the show. It was incredible. Lots of covers, interaction with the pit, and Tyler got in a hamster ball for Guns For Hands! I missed the first opener but the second one was Mutemath, who was amazing. I cried when they performed Goner.

NO NO NO
if you value keeping any of the stuff you bring in a string bag, you won't bring a string bag. the people outside don't care if it's not technically a backpack, they will still take it, and stuff tends to vanish from bags that the people outside of venues confiscate. if you aren't comfortable keeping things on your pocket, the smartest thing to do would be to leave your phone and stuff locked in your car and any money for merch and stuff in your front pocket, not in a wallet. it's much harder for people to tell you're carrying it that way, and much harder to pickpocket. also, it's less likely to fall out. if your venue doesn't allow backpacks, don't bring a string bag. you could probably get away with a purse, though.
@hesitant-meme mine was incredible. i saw them last fall in the largest outdoor amphitheater in my country and it was amazing. we only got there about an hour before, so we were let into the venue just as finish ticket was finishing their set and echosmith was getting ready to start. the first thing we did was go to get merch, and then we just hung out and listened to echosmith from our seats. they started with heavy dirty soul (i was at the blurryface tour) and went from there. everyone at the concert was so friendly and beforehand we were all singing songs together which was incredible. because it was an amputheater, they didn't do any of the pit stuff because there was no pit. instead, tyler and josh had conversations with the fans from onstage, and had us sing backup beats for some of the songs, and tyler joseph told us all that we looked beautiful, they played all sorts of covers and old song medlies, and it was generally amazing.
