A little tip I can offer is to use your starting currency (500 FurCash) to purchase an extra villager slot. Personally, I think the best way to start is with at least one Explorer. Check out this guide if you haven't yet.

Sadly, the forums are down right now. Click help and read the newbie guides for each job and see which one you want. I suggest starting with explorer so you could just farm. If you already chose a job, you could change it (once a day I think). Also, buy another villager slot. Enjoy the site!

I just joined and ohmygod this is so cute. I was so happy when I saw their was more options for the gender and I started crying when I could choose a deer because deer are my favorite animals
