Just as you're studying a small mammal, with strange fleshy flaps and long, rabbit-like ears, something leaps out of nowhere with a wild yowl and grabs it within its long, vicious teeth. When it spots you standing there, however, frozen to the spot, it drops it carelessly to the ground and begins stalking towards you, its amber eyes flashing menacingly in the light that streamed through the canopy.
