what are gummikits?
Gummikits are are a cross between sugary gummies, bats, and coyotes.They don't have wings though, but they are made of half gummy. They are the size of a regular cupcake. Their ears can detect the slightest of sounds, and their small paws can carry them swiftly across open spaces, covering about a meter every two seconds. The smallest are the size of a mini cupcake, the largest up to the size of a cake or a small house cat. They were created in a candyshop and soon began taking over. Now they're being sold to the public in small boxes, like treats! Even though they're half gummi, they are not edible!

When they're little, some gummikits have a security blanket. Bel had a security bear - a stuffed polar bear named Cici as big as them that they'd drag around everywhere. Now that they're older, Cici mostly stays safely in their room. However, every so often when a clap of thunder scares Bel, they'll abandon any ideas about not being a scaredy-kit and tuck themselves under the relative safety of Cici.

Despite Bel's pretending that they no longer care about stuffed animals, they take meticulous care of Cici. Every month, they'll gently wash the grey marks and sticky bits out of Cici's fur, towel her off, and then place her out in the sun to dry. After she's clean, they'll add back any stuffing that may have fallen out and stitch whatever rips or tears have appeared since her last wash.
