Shine glanced at the stock of herbs for the hundredth time that day. They weren't particularly lacking in anything, but she'd still be comforted knowing that they had more then what might be needed, especially if DarkClan and MistClan were going to go to war anytime soon. Marigold and cobwebs would probably be most useful, being that they were the herbs used for generic cuts and scratches. She left the healer's den and headed out of camp when she saw Creak. Maybe he could help if he weren't doing anything. It'd be nice to have someone else to carry herbs. That is, if he was willing. She approached him, and with a dip of her head, she asked, "Are you busy? I'm going to collect some herbs and was wondering if you'd like to help."

Snare slowly nodded, her reply wasn't exactly unexpected, Sandwhisker had mentioned earlier how uneventful things were. Because he was so hesitant to ask any more about the twoleg place, he was very glad when she asked him the next question, already carefully thinking out the answer. "Well... He began, "I've usually been hunting or exploring the forest's boundaries, and maybe occasionally jumping into the creek to escape the heat. Other than that, I might get up early to watch the sun rise, and only under special circumstances, I leave the forest to go visit an old friend or relative of mine." Snare explained, as he slowly guided her to one of the few places which he considered to be a good den; a hollowed out log that had fallen many seasons ago. He guessed it was not far off by now since the pungent scent of rotting cedar was growing stronger, and the bushy hawthorn trees that surrounded the area suddenly came into sight not soon after they passed two large trees that had blocked his view of the hawthorns before. "Maybe when it gets hot, I can take you swimming at the creek. I think you would enjoy it." He offered without mentioning that they were getting close.

Sandwhisker waited for him to finish answering her question and then nodded to herself. "Did you find anything cool while exploring?" She inquired curiously. At the last part to Snare's answer, a feeling of guilt washed over her. "Is that why you were at the two-leg place? To visit a friend or relative?" She asked carefully. If that were the case, then that'd mean that she'd distracted him from seeing someone important to him. She mentally slapped herself for nosing her way into somebody else's business. Had she not been there, Snare would've probably met his friend and would be out of the rain. Well, maybe he didn't mind water too much, being that he willingly jumped into a creek, but still. A nature-y smell filled the air, at least... a more then usual nature-y smell, which caused Sandwhisker to look around for the source. "I don't love swimming, but I enjoy it every now and then. I think it'd be nice to try out your creek," she meowed in response to his offer. Her sodden fur clinging to her body, she looked back at the tom and smiled at him, her emotions a jumble of euphoria at being away from the two-leg place and guilt for disrupting Snare's day. How odd it was, to feel both of the emotions at the same time. "Are we almost there?" She didn't mean to sound whiny, especially since he was already doing so much for her, but she was almost chilled to the bone and the occasional breeze that passed by just made it worse.

Narrowing his eyes, Snare tried to think of something interesting that had happened to him while he had been out exploring, but at the moment, he could recall nothing, so he only shook his head in response, before considering her second question. "Yes," he admitted, "I was looking for an old acquaintance of mine for about an hour before I met you; his name was Red, he was a large crimson tom with stocky legs, and fat white toes. I was told he was staying in a lot full of crippled and defective monsters, but when I went there, he left no signs of his whereabouts, not even a scent trail. I'm sure he's fine, really. Cats like him like to move around for a change." He told her as they passed beneath the dull shadow of the hawthorns and into the clearing where the old cedar log sat. He stopped beneath of the trees, and turned to her with an apologetic smile, "Well, this is the place..." He answered, his gaze sweeping over the length of the trunk. "I hope it's not too much of a disappointment; it should be nice, and dry once you get inside." he assured, his expression changing into one of amusement. "And, I think you will change your mind about swimming once the heat comes. If the creek dried, summer would be unbearable, and we would have to cross though Mistclan's borders to get to the river even for some drinking water!"

Most of her guilt washed away when Snare revealed that he couldn't find his friend, Red, because Red had gone away rather then her distracting him from finding the crimson tom. When they arrived to what would be their shelter from the rain, Sandwhisker examined the log. Other then the smell, which she didn't completely dislike, it seemed like it'd be a pleasing shelter, keeping the rain away and giving them enough room where they could probably move around a bit if they were careful and didn't get stuck. "It's definitely not a disappointment!" she chirped, a bit of her old bubbly self returning back to her. She wouldn't want to stay there forever and make it her camp, but it'd serve nicely as temporary shelter. "Ah, well. I suppose you're right. I've forgotten what the summers can be like. They really are horrible, aren't they. I much prefer the crispness of autumn. It's not too cold and not too hot, and most of the squirrels are too busy hiding their food to notice us which makes them easy prey," she commented. She ducked into the old cedar log, making sure there was enough room for Snare when he followed. The log was cool, which wasn't unexpected with the rain clouds blocking the sun and the rain washing away most of whatever was left of the heat. Her fur poofed slightly so that the rain would drip easier and to keep her body heat near.

At the sound of her cheerful tone, his amused smile quickly faded into a relieved expression. "Ahhh, that's good to hear! But this den is only momentary, so don't get too comfortable." He joked lightly, following after her as she went inside of the cedar log. While Snare waited patiently for Sandwhisker to get comfortable, he crouched down near the entrance and faced her, so that he could carry on their conversation."Indeed." He agreed, nodding. "What I dislike most about summer, is that the air is so stuffy and humid, that it is difficult to breathe. Autumn is admittedly, the best season. And I am especially familiar with what you said about hunting squirrels." He smiled with a certain knowing look in his bright yellow eyes.
