Goldenpaw walked out of the apprentice den, ready for a new day. The sun was shining and she could smell buttercups, her favourite scent. She looked at the fresh kill pile. It had food on it, but there wasn't any vole. "maybe...maybe I could catch some?" she whispered to herself, looking around for her mentor.

Sunstrike casually walks over to Goldenpaw. "Good morning Goldenpaw. I was thinking today we could do some hutning. We've focused a lot of battle training the past couple of days, and I think hunting is a great way to take a break from that." Sunstrike mews.

"i was just thinking the same thing." Goldenpaw said, a small smile on her face. She loved hunting. She wasn't really a fighter, she would rather interrogate someone rather than kill or harm them. However, hunting was a chance for her to show what she was best at. Catching small animals to feed the whole clan. fightings good and all... she thought. but without hunters, everything collapses around us.

The ginger she-cat dipped her head, agreeing with the apprentice. We'll go down towards the stream at the edge of the territory. No-ones been down there for a few days so it should be a good place to hunt." Sunstrike announces. She pads out of the camp and waits in-front of the entrance for Goldenpaw.

Goldenpaw quickly catches up to her mentor. She smiled. "yeah. That seems great. There should be all sorts there."

Sunstrike turns around, away from the camp, and breaks into a gentle run, at a pace fast enough for Goldenpaw to keep up. She heads towards the stream.

Goldenpaw keeps up, only having to run a little quicker to keep up. The apprentice was nearly fully trained, and was happy about it.

Sunstrike runs a tad slower, making sure not to tire out the apprentice before hunting started. Sunstrike slows down as the stream comes into view. She stops running and begins to walk instead. She hold her tail out and signals for Goldenpaw to stop running.
"Can you scent anything?" Sunstrike questions the she-cat.
