Meet the girl who would carry all the worlds problems on her slender shoulders, very intuitive of the feelings of her friends Aria is far more likely to try and help you fix your problems before ever even mentioning her own. Often times this need to meddle in others affairs can come across as her being nosy or controlling however those that know her know that it's Aria's way of trying to help. At the tender age of eighteen a young, foolish, and infatuated Rosalind was wed to William Fielding, the Earl of Denbigh and a man of great reputation. Her parents proclaimed that she was one of the lucky to wed not only for love but also for advantage, for a girl of no rank to suddenly rise to the title of countess was rare and Rosalind was thankful everyday that she'd met William in the first place. Fooled by his sweet words Rosalind expected her life as Lady Rosalind Kerensa Fielding to be filled with laughter and love, a true fairytale ending. However a few months after their marriage it became clear to Rosalind why Fielding had ever began to court her in the first place, her impressive dowery, and now that he had what he wanted Rosalind was left in the cold. For two years Rosalind resigned herself to this loveless marriage when something unexpected happened; on a typical night out for the man, William Fielding was robbed and left for dead in an alley. After his death Rosalind was all too shocked to discover exactly what had happened to the Fielding fortune and so in the years she was supposed to be in mourning the Countess of Denbigh tried to revive a neglected homestead using whatever she could to maintain the traditional Debigh lands.

One thousand years ago a crimson dragon became human and created a small kingdom, Laven, where he ruled as king and lead his people to a time of prosperity and peace. As time passed however the neighbouring kingdoms grew envious of their prosperous neighbour and their powerful dragon king, jealousy turned to hate and in that hate was born a war. The combined powers of the other kingdoms proved too much for the king and he was soon defeated and taken prisoner to be executed at sunrise. It was just before this execution however that the extraordinary happened, four dragons descended from the sky settling before the king. Before he had become human these four dragons had been the king's closest friends, easily having the power to save both him and his kingdom the dragons had come to save their friend. The king however refused, no matter the horror before him the king remained adamant in his love for all humanity even if it spelled his downfall. Desperate to save their friend the four dragons gathered four of the most loyal knights in the realm and to each bestowed their power. The white dragon gave the strength and power of his arm to one knight, the blue dragon gave another his eyesight, the green dragon gave his knight the strength of his legs, and the yellow dragon gave the last knight his impervious skin. With these gifts though a deal was struck each knight drank the blood of the dragon thus gaining their ability but also their devotion to the king, never would they betray their king and always would they protect him. With the power of the four dragons the knights saved the kingdom and their king pledging their lives and deaths to him. Restoring peace and prosperity to his kingdom the king kept his four dragons close creating a bond more than servant and master, but rather a bond of friendship. Many years later however that bond was severed with the passing of the king and in fear that their powers would be used by greedy souls to bring harm to the kingdom the dragons separated and disappeared into the four corners of the kingdom awaiting their new master.

Laven is a small peaceful kingdom surrounded on all sides by four powerful nations Edrezia, Cosite, Vonad, and Krevell. With a soft and peace loving king ruling over Laven the kingdom is slowly sliding towards desperation and corruption though these troubles never really reach the ears of the king and his heir. Never having set foot outside of the red palace the princess has grown up blissfully ignorant of the troubles that her people face day in and day out, her only concern being what to wear to dinner. On her sixteenth birthday though a coup d'etat begins and results in the king being killed and her along with her two faithful vassals being forced to flee from all she had ever known. Now surviving by whatever means necessary the princess began to learn the hardships that her people had lived with during and even after her father's reign. Corruption rife under this new rule the princess has awakened in herself the reincarnated spirit of the king that lived one thousand years ago. This has called the four dragons blood to her and once again they will pledge their unending loyalty to their true king and all that remains is for the princess to decide their path.

The immortal dragon warrior, before she drank the yellow dragons' blood Kalea was an ordinary girl who lived in a small village that is now known as Towlan. When she was offered the blood of the dragon Kalea accepted the dragons terms because she wanted to protect the smiles of the people in her village. However after she became one of the dragon warriors, unlike her comrades, she didn't know what her true power was until the day she died protecting the king. Moments after when she regenerated and discovered her body was now covered in hardened dragon scales the true scope of her powers hadn't hit Kalea yet. As time passed however and the rest of her friends began to age while she remained the same Kalea began to realize what her future would be. When the king passed and her fellow warriors scattered to the wind Kalea was left on her own to deal with her gift which she was slowly considering to be a curse. Cutting herself off from all of those that she loved to avoid the heartbreak that would surely come after enough time had passed. As centuries passed her by and Kalea didn't age the yellow dragon travelled from one corner of Laven to the other trying to preserve the peace she and her comrades had worked so hard to create. Too old to care anymore Kalea has regained some of her carefree nature, thinking of everyday like her first on this earth.

Born the only child of the kings' advisor, Maiara has been groomed from a young age to become the next advisor and right hand of the king. Though highborn Maiara's father made sure that she knew the plights of the common people so that when she succeeded him as advisor she would have a better idea of who she was serving. Educated not only in song and dance like any other lady Maiara also received lessons in history, battle tactics, negotiating strategies, and languages giving the young girl knowledge beyond her years. Helping her father in the day to day running of the kingdom at the age of sixteen Maiara saw the impact of the kings cowardly foreign policies on the people that they were supposed to be protecting. Witnessing their territory shrinking day by day and thwarting plot after plot to undermine the king Maiara's frustration slowly grew until the day her passed away from a heart attack. Knowing her father's death was indirectly the kings fault jaded Maiara all the more, she loved the kingdom and it's people but she could not stand behind a man who was responsible for the kingdoms suffering. Desperate to stop the slow but steady invasions by the neighboring kingdoms and the corruption that was eating away at the court Maiara turned to the usurper whose rule, she believed, would bring stability to the crumbling kingdom.

Before marrying Lord Killian, Rosalind was the daughter of a lord who controlled a small piece of forested land. Taught not only the arts of music and dance Rosalind also learned to read and write by an old scholar who'd taken a liking to the charming young girl. Growing into a beautiful and capable woman Rosalind was soon married off to a man she did not know. Of course that man was Lord Killian and though she'd only met him on the day of their wedding it didn't take her long to fall in love with her husband. Content in their house on the river Rosalind began her duties as lady of the house and soon proved to be very proficient in running the estate as well as kind in her treatment of their minimal staff. Happy and with a steadily growing family Rosalind was surprised by her husbands news of their sudden good fortune, to be granted land of their choosing was truly a blessing and through her husbands many descriptions of the island he'd chosen Rosalind grew more and more excited to finally see it. After three years and with her four darling children in tow Rosalind accompanied her husband to see their new finished home. Blown away by the beauty of the castle the young woman didn't notice the change in her husband until it was too late, of course he was still the man she loved however he'd become more prideful of their home, often boasting about it at feasts or simply to anyone who would listen. Every time she heard him boast Rosalind felt a twinge of nervousness hoping that they wouldn't upset the king. Unfortunately one summers day Rosalind's fears became reality as the king's army marched to their doorstep. Sheer cliff on one side and an army on the other, everyone who lived in the castle was trapped. In those last few hours the castle was plunged into terror and though she was no stranger to the feelings of fear that were swirling through the halls Rosalind kept her head held high and tried to quell the fears of those around her. In her last moments Rosalind fought to protect her children, hiding them in their room Rosalind barred the door with all manner of furniture and wielding a knife defend her babies until the last possible moment. Her throat slit Rosalind's last memories are of soldiers pouring into the room searching for her children while she gasped for air. As a ghost Rosalind wanders the halls weeping, lamenting her failure to protect those dearest to her heart and the fate that her husband has doomed them to. Wearing her favourite blue gown you wouldn't know how she died until you spotted the faint scar that stretches across her neck. Generally fairly peaceful Rosalind treats visitors with kindness acting like she did in life as the lady of the house, the only things that will move her to violence are going into the children's room, making her children cry, or being the kings descendant. Rosalind will do anything for her children and that includes keeping her husband's vow to kill the last of the kings descendants.
