Piper watched him go, both sad and happy. She made a friend, something she's never had before. She was sheltered all her life except for the days she was allowed outside. She looked at the crane again as she thought about him. "Oh wait! He forgot his crane!" She exclaimed but it was too late to find him. She placed the crane on the table with a sigh. She'll stop by Lab 4 someday and give it back to him. Until then. "I think I'll call you Hera." She said to the paper. Then she heard voices and stepped over to the door, peeking out curiously and seeing Mr. London and Chess. "O-Oh, hello there."

Tyler calmed from his little high after successfully consuming all the blood left on his face. He wanted more of Joel and he'd get more. Soon, really soon. He was still standing by the wall, a pool of blood surrounding his feet as his arm continued to bleed. That lab rat did a number on him but he'd rot before admitting how much this blood loss was getting to him. Tyler kept thinking of Joel. One day that basted will be the one under him, begging for forgiveness. I'll have that blonde on his knees before me. He thought with another lick of his lips. Oh how badly he wanted Joel now...

London stopped. Where is Piper again? He totally forgot where he had sent her. What is a task that he'd have the soft spoken girl do? "She's... in the greenroom?" He asked, unsure himself. That's when the red head peeked out of the door, looking right at them. "There you are Piper. We were looking for you. How's you checkup going?" He asked as he remembered exactly what he had her doing.

she glanced down at it. She ground her molars with anger. She never, ever took her hoodie off. With a grunt she pulled it off over her head. her body was leaner than it originally looked under the loose jacket. and she wore a tank top with a wolf on it. She also had a locket on that she usually kept under her sweatshirt. Maggie examined the bloody hoodie with a scowl. "ill clean it later then" she muttered uncomfortably. She didn't like having her arms bare.

Blaise put a hand on the back of his neck and looked at the other, his gaze softening. He sighed and looked away from Azusa. This guy obviously has nothing to do with the shortages of resources or... Well, anything. I guess he's just a kindred spirit amongst the rough. Blaise looked at the scientist again, eyes showing his guilt and regret. He wished that he hadn't brought the situation up to begin with. "Well, you're different from the rest of them, so does it really matter?" He said bluntly, lacking emotion. "It's not like the scientists think any higher of us." His body was rigid as he looked at the other with cold, distant eyes. I don't know why I bothered with this guy. He's a lost cause. I'll probably have to kill him now that he's seen me. "I think I should go." He said much too loudly and icily, correcting his posture for the nth time as he prepared himself to go back out into the wastes of the planet. The rogue reached into the bag that he had been loosely carrying with him, wrapping himself in his typical camouflaged garb and threw a pair of goggles onto his head, adjusting them slightly. He looked undeniably rogue-ish. "I should hope that we don't have to meet again." Mentally he added, Although, it was nice to have someone to talk to.

Chess was inwardly amused at his superior's forgetfulness, and nodded along to what he was saying. Just as he was about to speak, Piper had made an appearance. Chess immediately shut his mouth and stood rather shyly next to London. By now, the blush had faded into a smal pink tint on his cheeks. The teen watched the exchange of greetings between the two, and decided to stay silent.

"O-Oh, the r-research. It's r-right over here Mr. London." Piper said, turning frantically to grab the clipboard, almost dropping it again. She had completely forgotten about her work during her encounter with August. She quickly flipped through them, spewing useless words until she found her notes. "H-Here. Uh, samples A and B aren't really doing well. Only a total of 3 plants s-survived..." She said, glancing at London before looking down shyly, sparing a glance at Chess.

London looked at Chess then Piper. His whole team was a group of socially awkward kids. It was cute really. At Piper's words, he groaned. He had high hopes in those samples. Both had been full of Potassium, B even having Magnesium. But they failed him sadly. "Thank you Piper. Good job.." He sighed. "Chess, can you take those notes and place them in a file? They're failed experiments but we may find use for them yet."

Chess looked up to London and nodded, "Of course, sir." He walked over to where Piper was and gave her a small smile, just because she looked on edge today, and gently took the notes. He bent down to collect a file. Once finished he carried the package neatly back to London, and after labeling the folder, handed it to his superior. "Is this okay, sir?"

Piper handed the notes to Chess and turned her gaze back down as she pressed her fingers together in nervous habit. "Is there anything else I can do for you Mr. London?" She asked politely not looking up though. "Actually yes. You know that bark you brought back the other day from- "S-Sector 14?" She asked, finally turning her red eyes at her superior. "Well I need you to get another- "O-Of course! One isn't enough! I-I'll go right away sir." She said quickly, bowing politely before zooming out of the greenroom to grab some supplies.

London thanked Chess before conversing with Piper. She seemed so tense, he wish she'd be more comfortable around him. He barely got another word out as Piper began to speak in her soft frantic way. "Wait. Slow down. You could at least-" But the red haired girl was already rushing out of the greenroom. "-Join us for lunch...Oh dear..." He finished before sighing heavily. He felt like he just scared her away but having her so eager to leave hurt him a little. "I wish she'd loosen up a bit and be more cute like you...." London said, looking at the door as if she'd come back any moment.

Chess sighed and patted London's arm in reassurance. "Don't worry, sir." he said softly, "I'm sure she has her reasons for being like that." Chess hated the crestfallen look on his superior's face. He knew how much London wanted his co-workers to trust him. "You're the least scary person I know, so you don't have to worry."
