What is your favourite colour scheme to use and why?
I have a big monochrome signature and I like greyscale sigs a lot; although the one I have now, definitely some good looking pastel colours. I wanna see more complimentary colour signatures, though.

I personally use monochrome a generally my main go-to colorscheme for my personal signatures, and i also have a habit of using greyscale+pastel colors. I prefer monochrome and use it the majority of the time mostly because I just love black/gray/white as a main source of color.

honestly... i don't care for color schemes. i just grab whatever colors from the picture and build off of it!

actually, i'm quite flexible with colours and patterns, but one
of my favourites would be monochrome and grayscale schemes.
also, cold and sullen colours like the ones i use now is also a
new penchant of mine.
grayscale provides this clear vintage to modern mood to it, and
shows the darker side in things. i love when it is used to portray
happiness and other similar things too.
cold colours just look appealing to me, haha. looks 'comfortable'
in a sense.

i agree with a lot of folks, i really like grayscale. however, i do also like adding a splash of color, or also pulling colors from whatever image im using. i like duller color as opposed to bright as well, since bright usually hurts my eyes or is hard to read. grayscale has the appeal that it will fit together well, most of the time. its especially nice when there is one color with it, since it gives it a unique feel (i like blue or red personally; they go well with pure black)

what do you make first in a signature?


to answer my own question, i usually find images & edit them first, then more on to typography (sometimes i might do typography first, but usually i do at least one image). this lets me figure out a color scheme & theme of the sig. i usually base sigs around a character & a fitting song, so images help with the mood a lot haha. for my current sig, i found pictures of magato & then made gifs for my first overlay, then started to work on the words.

i usually find a gif/image first, then determine the dimensions of it and how it'll fit.
or i design the dividers first just so i can get a better grip on the determined
size of the pictures that i'm going to use.

What do you make first in a signature?
Oh gosh, my method is actually fairly unorganized. At least, it is in my eyes. Basically, when I know my theme and I have an image or two/a quote figured out, I'll place one image in left brackets and go "alright now what will look nice." It's a little iffy, but it works out in the end.
So yeah, basically, if there's an image I like that I feel like I should edit, that's what I'd do first.

usually i "make" the choice of my song and go find pieces of lyrics i want to put into the quotes. so i suppose i make the font first.

I usually start by selecting a song to play in the background so i dont loose focusing, and then I spend the first hour just staring at the screen, trying to come up with a good plan. Then i start with images.
