I wrote this in the dog forum, but I'll write here as well

My cat snuck out last night and brought home a huge dead rat. Now I'm puppy sitting a puppy who is much smaller than this rat and I was sitting watching the puppy out of the corner I see my cat stalking the puppy. I put the puppy in the crate and introduce the two and the Cat hisses and walked away. I had the puppy on the floor again and I saw my cat just sitting watching, I think she knows it a puppy and she isn't suppose to kill it. I'm wondering in the future would it be possible for my cat to kill a puppy and bring it home, after she smelled this pup and I told her to leave the puppy alone she did and I'm pretty sure she'll treat it like any other puppy I bring home.

Sophie

Postby niixyx » Thu Jun 23, 2016 5:22 am

My poor kitty Sophie has cancer or kitty lukemia. If its kitty lukemia then its from the neighbor's stupid cat they let it roam all around it always comes into our yard and attacks Sophie. Kitty lukemia gets passed on from cat to cat so it might be so. i have had her forever she cant go now... :silent:

Lukemia is a type of serious and fatal cancer. It's not common in most animals, but it's very sad to hear about it. I hope you feel better soon, and may she pass in peace. :)

Hey guys! Alright, well recently I have met a few cats and their owners, and it just makes me so tempted to get another little fluff ball. Today I looked at a few shelters nearby, and there was one cat that I was interested in. The cat was a female that had 12 years of age, and it used to be a stray, and it is unknown if it is house trained (this is just off of some extra info that it gave.) It gave basic information like the gender, breed, species, size, if it was spayed/neutered, and a few other small details. I'm just not sure how well it is around other cats. I'd also feel bad if my cat I have right now gave it a hard time because the majority of the time she's not great around other cats based off of other encounters. (She once saw a cat out on our driveway when I took her outside, she ended up chasing her off pretty much, which is giving me doubts. That worries me for if I do end up adopting another cat. Also, it's probably normal but when I come home and I've been with another cat she's all suspicious and I just would feel bad for both cats if they don't get along, and I wouldn't want to cause any extra stress on the cat I'm interested in, or any cat in general.) If it matters, my cat is a female, currently around 5 years old. She was born sometime late September, 2011. I'm just not sure. If I knew things would work out correctly then I'd be fine but it doesn't work like that so. /).(\ I don't know if it'd work out too well, knowing my cat has shown signs of hostility towards others I don't know if it's worth it. It also depends on each cat's personality (at least that's what I've heard), so it really all just depends and I mean ahh. I'd love another cat but I don't know how well it'd work out and I just wanted to know some opinions and maybe what you guys thought. There is just a lot to consider, and any guidance and thoughts are appreciated. I'm willing to answer any questions. Thanks!

Also, my cat is in need of a new scratching post - I want to get a few to put around the house along with a cat tree. :D Let's just hope that she doesn't completely neglect them. (even though I'm actually not too worried about it ha)

If it helps at all, one of my cats will chase away cats outside and freak out when they look into the house, but she's accepted a few cats into the house. We just took it very slowly. Of course my other cat chases off cats as well and freaks out when we tried letting my barn cat in. I guess it just really depends on the cat.

I'm so excited! Going to meet two kittens tonight! They sound perfect for what I want! I'll get some pics if I can!

Already got everything set up at home, just need to get harnesses, a second bowl, and a brush.

Margana, owned by Belle Nuit, is the most beautiful white she-cat with black markings. She may be small, but she has more than enough personality to make up for it.

I hope to the ends of the earth that she'll be fine, but if she goes, remember that she loves you, too. The passing of loved ones is almost impossible to cope with, but know that she doesn't hold anything against you, no matter what happens.
