Aki stood looking at the male in front on her. She was shorter than him, thanks to her fox side but her shoulders were broader thanks to her wolf side." How fast can you run? It will take a while to get there but we need to go hunting first or else we will starve in the morning." She had ate a small lizard earlier but she was still ravenous. She stretched as she pondered the possibility that someone would attempt to stop them. "Can you protect yourself?" She brushed her tail softly, removing as much dirt as possible.

Chelsea nodded in reply to Ryker's question, "Yeah, last time I checked his tracking chip placed him off in that direction with another come, Ash I think." She said gesturing roughly in the direction that the two domies should be. They had probably moved since but it would be a good place to start and try and pick up their scent. She started a slow walk in the direction she had gestured, knowing that Ryker would follow quickly.

He naturally took long strides after the female, his long, scaly tail leaving a sliding tail behind him. It'd been awhile since they started walking, and he can feel himself absorbing the sun. His crocodile genes let him soak in the sun more comfortably, but he could do for some water. He continued on anyway, and turned toward Chelsea. "Honestly they could've chosen a better place.." He sighed, slightly hinting toward wanting to know if she is okay so far, it was hot, after all.

They had been walking for a while and Chelsea was starting to curse her fur and feathers. Her wings were raised slightly to keep some of the sun off of her. She agreed with Ryker's statement and could tell that he was feeling slightly annoyed. "I agree, this is one of the driest parts of the dome. They really couldn't have chosen a better place could they? Still I don't think we-" She cut off mid-sentence as a sharp scent hit her nose. She stopped walking and sniffed the air, feline. "Do you smell that?" She asked Ryker, hoping that he too would be able to pick it up.

Anna paused for a moment, thinking. Her uncertainty was somewhat alleviated by Zach's suggestions to stay together, but she didn't want to be a burden to him. His suggestions made a lot of sense though, and she did kind of want to stay. It had been a while since someone she had met had been nice to her. It almost felt as if she had a friend again.

"Sure," Anna replied after a moment, "We'd probably be a lot safer that way. As long as it's okay with you?" If I start to slow him down or cause problems, I'll leave, Anna thought to herself. I don't want to cause any trouble or be a burden to him. As she listened to Zach's ideas about finding water in the mountains, she realized how good of an idea that was. He was right, there was probably a river in the mountains. Would they be able to get there though? Would the scientists or whoever they were let them get that far? Or would they be captured and put in some other part of the desert? And what about water until then? The questions filled Anna's mind. They had to try though, didn't they? It seemed like the best option at the moment. "The mountains seem like a good place to go," she agreed. "Do you think we should try to find some water here first?" the young hybrid asked. "So we can maybe take some with us while we're walking?"

"Perfectly fine with me. Wouldn't have suggested it if not." He said in response to her queston about if it was okay. Zach smiled reassuringly and listened to her suggestions too. "Good plan... I think I read somewhere before we were here that cacti often hold a lot of water, or at least they are edible?" The hybrids voice was more questioning than confident, but it was still worth suggesting.

"You can sleep first. I don't mind staying up. I'll get to look at that beautiful sky." Zach's voice was a gentle sigh, almost showing how wistful he was and how much he wanted to spend all night just gazing at the stars.

Anna thought for a moment, trying to remember what she could about cacti and deserts. She couldn't remember if cacti had water in them, but she knew that some types of cacti had fruit. That could be a source of food. It did sound a little painful though, seeing how cacti are covered with thorns. "We can try. I don't think it'd hurt anything," Anna replied. "There are some cacti that have fruit on them, so maybe that could be a source of food?"

Anna was wondering if she should offer to stay up first, seeing how her owl DNA made it hard to sleep sometimes, when Zach offered to stay up. She hesitated for a moment before replying. "Okay. Make sure to wake me up though when you start to get tired." Anna hoped that Zach hadn't noticed her slight hesitation. She just usually went to bed late because the owl part of her DNA made it hard to sleep. Anna also couldn't help but wonder how well Zach could see in the dark. The more she thought about it, she realized that she had no idea what type of hybrid he was. He didn't have any obvious traits. The only thing she had noticed was the slight pawlike shape of his hands. Maybe I'll ask him later, the hybrid thought. She didn't really think there was that much to worry about, at least right now. Most animals in the desert slept at night, right? Plus, it was unlikely that anything would try to attack a group of two hybrids.

"Oh yeah... Cacti have fruit..." He murmured, having completely forgotten about that information. His head was pulsing gently - probably from the new DNA and a small amount of tiredness, but he wouldn't give in that easily. Ladies first. Let her sleep.. The boy continued to think about the food and water situation, but nothing came to mind.

His thoughts were interrupted by her telling him to wake her. "I will." He whined, already sitting down and beginning to gaze at the sky. "My hearing seems a bit more sensitive than before, so I'll hear them." Zach quickly said, almost feeling as though she was judging him. Again, his thoughts sprung to life, screaming with anxiousness. How can you trust her to watch over you when you sleep? What happens if she leaves you when it's your sleep shift? Why are you trusting her!?

As Zach mentioned his hearing, Anna immediately felt guilty about what she had been thinking. She should trust him more, but Anna found it hard to completely trust anyone now. Especially people she had only met today. She knew that Zach was probably someone she could trust, it was just hard to trust anyone.

Deciding to try to trust him more, Anna tried to find a good place to sleep for the night. As she looked around, she eventually decided on a spot a few feet away. The hybrid walked over to the spot and sat down. She gazed up at the sky for a few seconds before lying down on the still warm sand, staring at the stars in the sky as she thought about the next day. She had no idea what to expect tomorrow, except for looking for food and water. Having a plan made her feel more prepared though.

Jade waited for a moment before replying to the other hybrid. Now she knew for sure she wasn't to happy with her being her so....should she give her her name? Or just leave? She shook the thought out of her head, she has been alone out here for too long and needed to socialize somehow. "I'm Jade" she said simply, introducing herself
