Just a piece of advice for those getting a budgie; budgies are NOT quiet. I have three budgies, Zebra, Blue, and Fern. They are quite noisy. Really consider that when getting one. at least, MY budgies are very loud.
[are all loud? Or am I giving incorrect advice?]

There are some that are quiet, I guess if you have a group they become extra loud, In pet land they put them all together, a lot of them are loud but some I believe aren't. To be honest all animal are loud their own way, some might some will, it really depends on the animal it self.

I'd recommend two males and two females to quiet them down since females are louder when alone. The other female will just drive you insane.

What type of bird are you considering getting? I wouldn't advise a larger bird for someone who has never owned one before- if that's the case c:

Parakeets. I JUST convinced my mom to let me get a few!!! YAY! I looked up if it's ok to have 3, and they were originally in flocks, so its fine! I do need some tips though, because you cant find everything online lol.

@1cattie: Oh, okay. I would say those are good beginner birds and absolutely adorable besides! I personally have a conure, but have never owned parakeets so I might no t be qualified to give advice. However, I know many members of this thread do own parakeets so I'm sure you'll get plenty of tips. Good luck!
