Wildflight picked up his pace slightly to trot the rest of the way back to camp. Once the two had returned, he made his way to stand outside of Stripestar's den before addressing Rabbitfur. "You can go relax and rest if you want." He said, however his expression asked him to stay. He couldn't bring himself to actually ask that of the warrior though considering that, if he stay, he could possibly get in trouble and risk punishment as well if Stripestar happened to read into their lie. To have somebody else with him backing up the idea that an adder bite was Mousekit's cause of death would certainly help in boosting his confidence as he spoke to the leader.

(skykit is still talking to stripestar in the nursery maybe? i don't know)

Rabbitfur's body tensed as they walked through the entrance of camp, blinking his yellow-green eyes about at any cats that may be watching for them. Not that he was expecting any, of course. He followed Wildflight to Stripestar's den, the tom stopping and fluffing his coat out. As Wildflight spoke to him, he couldn't say he didn't imagine the sensation of curling up in his nest and drifting off to sleep. But seeing the peculiar look on his face, Rabbitfur set the thought aside.
"I suggested this," he murmured quietly, glancing towards Stripestar's den uneasily. "I deserve possible punishment just as well as you." Of course, him being the Clan deputy, he couldn't imagine Stripestar would be too severe ... unless he was stripped of his rank. Rabbitfur himself didn't really have much to lose. He swallowed, shifting on his paws. "Maybe I should be the one to tell him."
